We have call screening and the telephone preference registration but these are coming from new numbers all the time and are international and therefore not covered by TPS.

Were on Talk Talk with Call Guard enabled it's a free service if you have broadband and phone. We have their fibre and phone and get free calls as well as the other add on services for the phone.

Noticed an issue with the landline yesterday so run a diagnostic on the app, it shows there's a problem. On the phone to Sky as I type (I'm on hold) and apparently there's a configuration issue which will be fixed within 72 hours. They also said it's impacting my broadband speed, not something I've noticed...

My attitude, being an Old Fart, is that it's too much information. Without the 'app' you wouldn't have had to take any action at all. I know, I'm a dinosaur!

I had to "fix" my phone last week. We have two cordless phones one upstairs and one down. They sit on charging cradles and the one downstairs was dead with an error on the display showing "wrong battery". Daft as it uses 2 x AAA rechargeable batteries which have been in since new. I took the batteries out and shoved them in my Nitecore multi-type intelligent charger. Three hours later it had discharged, tested and recharged both and had nice pass marks on each. Shoved them back in and it has been right since.

My Talk Talk bill this month will be £2 as they are refunding me another £48.00 that they have charged me as they still can't manage to cancel the £16.00 per month free UK calls boost. I have un-ticked it again on the website in my account and had a confirmation that it has been actioned. I will believe it when I see it.

TalkTalk landline has stopped accepting incoming calls. Run a line test, via their website, which identified a fault and reported it with no other input required from me. Got a text message from Openreach who are now looking into it.
