Yesterday was dry and blustery and at 21:00 we had broken cloud and a blustery wind, it was dry. First thing this morning it was the same but since then we have some light rain blowing on the wind. The glass rose yesterday but during the night fell back to 998mb. The forecast is for the rain to clear to the east and for the day to be one of sunny spells. The SW wind is brisk and will gust to 35mph giving a high of 9C and a low of 7C with a -3C wind chill all day. The outlook for the next five days is messy, a bit of everything, a lot of wind and the thermometer going up and down like a yo-yo.
The last of the LED lights on the Pioneer Car Park is now out.

Another blustery and mainly dry day. At 21:00 it was cold and dry with a light breeze. Same first thing this morning. Just looked out and it's spotting with rain. The glass is up on 1002mb. The forecast is for an overcast day with a chance of a shower at any time. There could be a glimpse of the sun between the showers this afternoon. The wind is a constant brisk southerly gusting to 40mph at times. It gives a high of 13C and a low of 9C with up to -3C wind chill. The outlook is for similar unsettled weather. (It's November!)
05:05. Not a lot to report, its cool, windy and we have intermittent rain. The single lamp in the car park has come on again but is flickering, the uplighters on the Jubilee memorial are on but appear to be on 24X7. They're LED so I suppose are very low wattage.
06:00. Steady cold rain!

Rain was never far away yesterday and by 21:00 it was steady and continuous. First thing this morning it was bone dry and breezy. I have just had my early walk and it hasn't changed. the glass is down on 984mb and still falling. The forecast is for heavy scattered showers and sunny intervals all day. The wind is a brisk, continuous SSW gusting to 35mph and giving a high of 10C and a low of 6C with a wind chill of as much as -4C.
The outlook is for similar unsettled weather.

Yesterday was another day of shower dodging. At 21:00 it was raining steadily driven on the wind. First thing this morning we still had the wind, 50% cloud cover and stars. Two hours later it has just started spitting rain on the wind. The glass is up on 996mb and still rising. The forecast is for the serious rain to hold off until this afternoon but then to come in from around 15:00 onwards. The wind is a brisk W or SW gusting to 40mph at times giving a high of 9C and a low of 8C with a -4C wind chill. The outlook is for similar unsettled cold wet weather. Enjoy!
05:25. Back from an early walk. Wild, wet and cold. I think that about covers it!

Gotta be happy with that.

We're in a spell of cold wet windy weather Maz.
Yesterday was showery and windy, by 20:00 it had settled into be being wet and windy. First thing this morning the rain had stopped and we had broken cloud but still a brisk wind. I've just looked out and it's the same, the only change is that the wind is coming in very mild. The glass is up on 1006mb and still rising slowly. The forecast is for an overcast but dry day. The constant mild WSW wind is strong and gusts to over 40mph giving a high 0f 13C and a low of 10C with a wind chill of as much as -4C. The outlook is for mild wet changeable weather. Anything is possible!
05:45. Back from a very acceptable walk. It's windy, very mild, dry and we have some breaks in the cloud coming in. Quite remarkable for late November!

The main feature yesterday was how mild it was. We got rain later on, it was raining at 21:00. First thing this morning it was dry with a light breeze, still the same, dry, mild and a light breeze. The glass was up but is dropping now and is on 1007mb. The forecast is for an overcast day with rain at any time. The SW wind is constant, brisk and gusts to over 40mph giving a high of 12C and a low of 5C with a wind chill of as much as -5C later as colder weather comes in this evening. The outlook is for a very cold sunny day tomorrow then anther complete change back to mild wet weather.
05:05. Back from my walk. The wind hasn't got up yet so it is mild, dry and very acceptable. This will change during the day, expect it to get much colder.

We ended the day with rain, it was still raining at 21:00 and first thing this morning we still had a touch but that's stopped now and it's drying up. The glass is rising and almost on 1010mb. The forecast is for a dry day with a lot of sun but there is a catch! The wind is constant, moderate and NW gusting to 35mph at times. This gives a high of 5C and a low of 1C with as much as -4C chill at times. This means that much of the day the perceived temperature will be below freezing so wrap up warm. The outlook is for slightly warmer but much wetter weather. Enjoy!
04:55. I've had an early walk. It's clear, cold and dry. Luckily the wind hasn't got up yet so it's warmer than it could be!

Yesterday was a cold dry day, as per the forecast. It was still dry at 21:00 and first thing today it was cold, dry and a clear sky. Since then I think some cloud has come in but it's still dry. The glass had risen to 1026mb by 15:00 yesterday and has stayed there overnight, still 1026mb this morning. The forecast is for an overcast day and we can expect significant rain from about 09:00 onwards. The wind is a moderate S or SW giving a high of 10C and a low of 9C, much warmer than yesterday but with a wind chill of -4C. The outlook is for very similar weather for the next five days. It could be much worse in late November so don't complain too much!

Yesterday was mainly wet, a dry walk was an achievement! It was raining at 21:00 and first thing this morning it was calm, a light drizzle and mild. By the time I went out for my walk it was mild, dry and very windy. The glass is down on 1015mb. The forecast is is for it to be dry for another couple of hours then rain all day until the last of the daylight this evening when the cloud might break. The wind is constant, brisk and WSW gusting to over 40mph. The high will be 10C, the low 5C and the chill as much as -4C this morning. The outlook is for dryer and colder weather for the next five days.

It was wet and windy for most of the day yesterday. At 21:00 it was still raining. First thing this morning it was breezy, mild and dry with a clear sky. A bit more cloud as I take my early morning walk. A light breeze, mild and dry, very acceptable. The glass is up a bit on 1018mb. The forecast is for an overcast dry day with some sunny spells later perhaps. The wind is moderate westerly and gives a high of 7C and a low of 5C, a -4C wind chill first thing but then -3C for most of the day. The outlook is for similar weather for the next 5 days.
Later at 08:20. Just had another pleasant walk. light breeze, lots of pale blue clear sky and cold but OK if you are wrapped up warm. I've seen much worse in late November!

The forecast was good yesterday and we had a bright day but by 21:00 it was overcast and raining. First thing this morning the sky was clear, it was dry and cool and a light breeze. It's the same now but cloud is coming in and some stars are obscured. The glass is up slightly on 1020mb. The forecast is for cloud all day but remaining dry. The moderate wind is mainly SW and gusts at times to 30mph. It gives a high of 7C and a low of 7C with up to -4C wind chill at times. The outlook is for similar weather for the next week.
05:00. Back from a very acceptable walk, still dry, the wind hasn't got up yet and there is less cloud than an hour ago. I have had far worse walks than this in late November.

Once again, yesterday's forecast was accurate and it stayed dry until evening, by 21:00 we had a light breeze and steady rain. First thing this morning it was dry with a light breeze and a clear sky. Since then there is slightly more cloud but still dry and breezy. The glass is down on 1010mb and falling slowly. The forecast is for a dry overcast day apart from a spell of rain for about 3 hours around noon. The wind is a brisk SW gusting to 30mph giving a high of 10C a low of 6C and a wind chill of -3C. The outlook is for cooler, brighter and drier weather for the next 5 days.

Yesterday the rain came in around noon but wasn't heavy, it dried up in the afternoon but by 21:00 we had light rain and it has persisted all night, still with us this morning. The glass is down on 1003mb. The forecast is for the light rain to stay with us until noon and then change to sunny spells. The wind is a light westerly giving us a high of 8C and a low of 3C with a -2C chill. The outlook is for dry and even colder weather. It looks as though cutting my hair has done the trick and tipped us into cooler weather!
05:25. Back from my first walk. Bit of a change, it's cooler and much less wind. Steady cold rain. I note that the glass is rising slowly. I can smell a frost coming shortly!

Bright afternoon yesterday and at 21:00 it was cold, clear and calm with a brilliant moon. (Next full moon is on Monday.) First thing this morning it was still bright and calm with a clear sky, In the last couple of hours it has clouded over but is still calm, dry and cold. The glass is up on 1015mb and rising slowly. The forecast is for it to be overcast all day but dry. The wind is a constant very light WSW giving a high of 7C and a low of 0C with a -2C wind chill most of the day. Colder weather and a possible frost. The outlook is for a week of very similar weather.

There was a bit of rain in the air mid afternoon yesterday but it never amounted to anything and by 21:00 we had settled into a calm, clear evening and every chance of a frost. First thing this morning it was clear and cold, I've just looked outside and I thin k it's overcast now. The glass is up slightly on 1017mb. The forecast is for a dry overcast day. The wind is a light and variable Easterly that gives a high of 6C and a low of 1C with a -1C wind chill all day. The outlook for the next five days is for similar quiet cold weather.
05:05. A very acceptable walk. Calm, cold but not frosty, dry and best of all light!

Not only the six main LEDS replaced but the sodium lamp over to the left near the entrance to the Co-op has been converted to LED as well. The steps are much safer now.

Yesterday afternoon was quite bright and not too cold. At 21:00 it was calm, cool, overcast and dry and was the same first thing this morning. No change since then. The glass is down a touch on 1015mb and the forecast is a re-run of yesterday, overcast and dry all day. We could have a frosty start and the constant light east wind gives a high of 7C and a low of 5C with as much as a -3C wind chill so slightly cooler than yesterday. The outlook is for similar weather for the next five days, December will come in quiet and cool.
04:50. Back from an early walk. It's quite unusual out there actually, we have a sharp frost but also 100% overcast which is quite unusual. It's calm, dry and cold with frost covered roofs.
One thing I note is that there has been another change in the lighting in the Pioneer Car park. I noted that the sodium light to the left of the toilets had been changed to LED yesterday and this morning I see that the double sodium lamps on the standard to the right of the toilets has changed to a single LED shining into the car park. This means that the lighting on the pedestrian crossing is lower and may have to be looked at.
[I checked with the pic I did yesterday. If you look to the right of the toilets you'll see the LEDs at high level and you'll see the two yellow sodium lights below them. They are now a single LED.]

From noon onwards (when Mick came and started on the power washing.) we had light cold rain. At 21:00 it had almost stopped but was still damping. This morning first thing it was the same, I've just looked out, it's trying to dry up, calm, cool and overcast but a light mist is coming in and that's damp of itself! The glass is up on 1021MB and rising slowly. The forecast is for a dry cloudy day with the mist persisting until late morning. The wind is very light and starts generally easterly but by the end of the day is in the west. The high is 8C and the low 7C with at most a -1C wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather but perhaps a bit more changeable as the week progresses, chance of rain but sun as well.
05:00. Back from a walk. It's calm, dry, overcast, cool and misty. Boring weather but exciting at this time of the year is often nasty and we can do without that!

It was a gloomy day yesterday and it's hard to remember the long days of summer when the light is fading by 16:00. It was dry but by 19:00 we had light rain. First thing this morning we had a light breeze, it was dry but overcast and the flags were still damp from last night. The glass is steady on 1019mb. The forecast is for light rain all day until late afternoon. The wind is a brisk westerly that will swing into the NW at times and gust to 35mph. The high will be 9C and the low is 0C with as much as -4C wind chill. The outlook is for similar and even colder weather.
We can't see it but today we have a full moon.
05:10. Back from a cold wet walk. The wind has risen and the rain has arrived earlier than forecast. 100% overcast, no sign of the full moon or any stars. Not the best walk I have ever had! November waving goodbye with a wet nasty day.

Yesterday was another gloomy day until late in the afternoon when the overcast broke a bit, no actual sun but a glimpse of blue sky. At 20:00 it was dry and the sky was clearing, later it was perfectly clear and we had a brilliant full moon to usher in December. First thing this morning it was calm clear and cold, a brilliant full moon and the biggest vapour trail I have ever seen lying due North and South, an unusual orientation. I've just looked out and it is still clear and very cold. The glass is up a touch on 1022mb. The forecast is for a dry day with sun until late morning but clouding after that. The constant light NW wind gives a high of 5C and a low of 2C with a -2C wind chill. In effect, we will have a frost for most of the morning and it won't warm up much tonight. The outlook is for even colder weather and breathe it not but there could be a snow shower on Thursday. I think it must be December!

Yesterday remained dry and col,d. At 21:00 it was calm, dry and cold with a clear sky and a brilliant full moon. First thing this morning it was dry and cold but overcast. The glass is down on 1016mb. I have had my early walk, it's calm, overcast, cold and there is a very light mizzle just starting. I note that one of the new LED lights in the Pioneer car park has failed already. The forecast is for drizzle and rain until dinner time when the rain will stop and we may have some breaks in the cloud before settling down to 100% overcast for the rest of the day. The WSW wind is light to moderate later giving a high of 7C and a low of 1C with a -3C chill for most of the day. The outlook is for similar cold weather for the next five days, tomorrow is forecast to be wet as well.

It brightened up a bit for a while yesterday afternoon but the day ended with light rain. It was still cold windy and wet at 21:00 and was the same first thing this morning. The glass is down with a bang to 990mb and still falling. The forecast is for rain all day and it will be cold enough for it to fall as snow as the day wears on. The moderate wind starts WSW and ends this evening as ENE giving a high of 3C and a low of 1Cwith as much as a -5C wind chill this morning. That's right, it's a cold wintry day with possible snow and the outlook is no better for the next five days.
05:10. I've been for a short walk on a lousy morning. cold and very wet, the only good thing about it is that the wind hasn't got up yet, so it could have been worse. I pity anyone who has to be outside in this weather.
