Thick mist again this morning, a sign of another nice day I think. Yesterday was beautiful. A very pleasant temperature. It took nearly all day, on and off to clear the raspberry patch and move the other fruit bushes from one patch to the other. There were a number of cups of tea stops, plus a beer and a very long chat with Yves as he popped round with some walnuts for us.
I now have a double tow of black and red currants and gooseberries at the top of the orchard and about 60 raspberry plants in be old veggie plot about 30 were already there) . Each rooted cane counting as one plant. The rest of the plants, about 30 I gave to our neighbour , Fabian, who was delighted. Yves declined the offer saying it was too hard work planting them. I have see his soil, I understand

This evening at 6.00 pm we are invited round to Laetitia for a coffee and a chat before she goes to work. We shall take them a bag of our apples and two jars of my two jams . She wants to show us some photos of her youngest lad (aged9) as he has been taking part in a festival of Nature in the local town, La Gacilly. Its on all weekend from yesterday but we won’t go as we don’t want to mix with so many people. It will be very busy indeed as it is a tourist centre.
I have no other plans, I think Bob wants to play trains soI will probably help clear the track of weeds and stones.
Have a good day
