It looks to me more like the components of an old tin processing set up. On the right the horizontal drum with projections which, when rotated, lifts the vertical stamps and drops them down onto the tin ore.Usually driven by a waterwheel. Of course it could be for other metal ores. On the left the trough and bowl may be to do with smelting the ore
