25% off wine in Sainsbury's on 6 bottles or more. We bought 12 bottles ( around the £6 mark), and with the discount plus a money off coupon they cost just over £42. That should keep me happy for a day or two! 😄
We went to Colne for our flu jabs since did a few jobs while we were out.

That's a good deal, I remember they did similar on 6 bottles of Cava a few years ago. It's certainly worth waiting for the bargains :good:

Yes, we aren't regular Sainsbury's shoppers but fill up with fuel there so Col always has coupons to use in store if he spends over £50. Luckily they are valid for alcohol!

The lack of shaving gel in Aldi and Lidl. A reduction in the strength of the anticoagulants mean I can return to wet shaving. I gave the pack of razors and gel to my offspring as I 'couldn't be trusted not to use them'.
My new razors are on the way from Wilkinson Sword but, so far, I've been unable to find any shaving gel, I might have to resort to Sainsbury's.
Other good news is my usual shoe supplier will be stocking size 14 again from February, hurrah!

That reminded me of these two. They managed in a size 9, size 14 would have been heaven for them!

I notice that my resident groundhog "Yosemite Sam" must be getting ready for Winter.
He's been in the back garden guzzling any acorns he can find and is now carting huge mouthfuls of dried leaves down his burrow. :biggrin2:

I raed that most of the illegal immigrants/ asylum seekers currently making the dangerous channel dinghy crossing are in fact Albanian young men. I also read that in fact Albania is a 'safe' country and we can readily go there on holiday - courtesy of Saga.

Seems it's true Albanian Holidays

I'm sure Ms Braverman is across it all.

David. I heard a report about the increase in the number of direct flights from Albania to the UK. There must be some well-heeled migrants! But come to think, cheaper than people smugglers. They reckoned the key was the visa-free travel in the EU but I can't see how that works.....

40 sachets in each so 80 in total. 1 x adult cat = 3 - 4 sachets a day so 2 - 3 weeks worth. £10.00 per week.

It's not the price of the cat food it's just that it cost a lot more than the general groceries shop.

Yes, ours changes it's mind often about what it likes which is the nature of cats. They say you never own a cat, they own you, good job, someone has to pay the vet bills. :extrawink:

Our Primrose is definitely a Prima Donna.

I always found with Jack that best steak mince and good biscuit was cheaper than dog food and far better for him.
Vets bills.... Now there's a thought. Another expense I no longer have.

See THIS CNN report that Bolsanaro has lost his bid for re-election in Brazil. Question now is whether Bolsonaro does a Trump and refuses to accept the result.

No one has any money but there looks to be hundreds of pounds spent decorating houses for Halloween. Strange.

Ah, but they've got credit, Kev. It's a strange thing, credit. You are offered it but as soon as you receive it a demon turns it into debt! :extrawink:

One thing I have noticed is that there seem to be less fireworks as we near November 5th. Expensive things are fireworks!
