Morning

This morning I have a hospital appointment at ENT. I have no idea how long I will be , but certainly not looking forward to the camera down my nose to my throat. I have online yoga at 5.15 pm.,

Yesterday was a quiet day, hand sewing and playing with my embroidery machine. There will be more of the latter this afternoon if I am back from the hospital soon enough.

Have a good day all

It was not as bad a expected, just a little uncomfortable, all over with in minutes. All clear of the big C thank goodness but the virus infection weakened my voice box muscles. It was described as the voice equivalent of a bad back. I have to have speech therapy to retrain the muscles. Meanwhile I will keep my sexy husky voice :laugh5:

Yes a big relief. Especially as I feel better than I have in years apart from the hoarse voice. I have to praise the NHS, its not a week since I was referred by my GP.

That's good news Sue. Will the speech therapy be singing? :biggrin2: Just had word from Margaret in Oz, she has had her MRI scan and waits for the result now. She is champing at the but to get down to Busselton and some sun and sea with Kahara and Lily.....

More good news from Oz, Margaret has had the results of the scan, she is out of hospital and by now will be on the way to Busselton.
Here I had a good Hour and a quarter in the shed and now have a cylinder with its reference faces milled to size and the wooden plug marked for the centre of the bore. So tomorrow I can bore it!

Morning

Its a bit chilly this morning, plus foggy. Its a good job I haven’t got to go far. I shall be popping out for an hour this morning but otherwise nothing till this evenings pilates and yoga. Its going to be a day for a bit of Christmas sewing, and I want to update and print my Christmas card list. The ones going abroad need to be posted especially with the constant postal strike . I am still waiting for the fabric and wadding I ordered for my Christmas embroidery project for the grandchildren.

So thats today. Its a bit calmer than yesterday. After my hospital trip we walked into Rochdale as both of us wanted to discuss our phone contracts. However if we up grade we both lose our free roaming charges and as we have no internet in France its a bit vital to us over there. We have decided to leave it for now until our existing contracts are cancelled by Three and EE. I also managed to buy some earrings for Eve for Christmas, a £24 pair in silver for £12. What a bargain. Then it was a very brisk walk back up the hill before a zoom yoga class.

Have a good day all

Morning Sue, yes we have the fog as well. Not sure yet whether it has been accompanied by a frost.....
Lots of this sort of weather to come. Quiet calm and cold weather is going to be the norm.

I shall be in the shed as usual, quietly and purposely progressing on my cylinder. Nothing in the forecast to militate against a walk and perhaps even a sit today. We are promised gloom but no fog as yet so that's an improvement.

Morning

3 degrees and fog here. We had fog all day yesterday but there was nothing as you descended in to Rochdale. Bob was out clearing the track at the park. I sewed most of the day plus sorted the Christmas card list which has been severely cut due to postal costs. Today I will write the cards. My present shopping is nearly done, and this week we have finalised our Christmas arrangements. We shall go to Claires Christmas Day and stay over, driving back Boxing Day. Julia and family are coming to stay for a few days later in the week. I know its early but I like to be organised and I have a few outings and appointments over the next three weeks.

I have no real plans otherwise for the day, perhaps a walk depending on the fog.

Have a good day all.

We did this a couple of years ago and make a small donation to a local food bank instead.

We've escaped the fog so far Sue.... But I think it's a touch colder and I expect to see a grass frost when it comes daylight.
I've had an hour and a half in the shed because I hit problems with bad metal in my cylinder but I persevered and managed in the end. Here's where I finished up.....

The plan is to go in the shed and do more work on the castings for my engine. Nothing in the forecast to say I can't have a walk and a sit at midday as long as I am well wrapped up!

Only one pic this morning.... No need to bore you with pics of the VM at work. All I'll say is that the cutter I touched up the other day is cutting beautifully. The job was to get the steam chest rough milled to size and shape. Tomorrow I shall start on the lid.....
