Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Back up after second sleep and the forecast was right. It's still cold outside but we have a thaw now and the packed snow and ice in the back street is melting away. Thank God for that!

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday ended up being a slow thaw and the melting of the ice in the back street. It took until 18:00. At 20:00 we had a calm cool evening under a partially clouded sky. First thing this morning it was the same and hasn't changed. The glass is up slightly on 1030mb and still rising. The forecast is for a boring but better day, cloudy all day but dry. The constant SE wind is very light giving us a high of 6C and a low of 2C tonight with a negligible wind chill which is a welcome change! The 6 day outlook is for similar mild dry and clouded weather. This and better will do!

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday stayed overcast, frost free and boring. At 20:00 it was calm, overcast and dry with no frost. This morning it is still the same but with the addition of a touch of mist, the glass is up on 1034mb. The forecast is for an overcast dry day with perhaps mist mid morning. The SW wind will be light giving a high of 6C and a low tonight of 5C with as much as -3C wind chill this evening. The 6 day outlook is for a warmer day tomorrow and than back to similar to today for the rest of the week. Mainly dry.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was another boring overcast day and at 20:00 it was calm, dry and overcast. Same this morning first thing and since then we are getting very light mizzle. The glass is down slightly on 1031mb and falling slowly. The forecast is for the mizzle/fog to become light rain at midday but then brighten up a bit this afternoon. The westerly winds will be moderate and give us a high of 8C and a low of 0C tonight with a wind chill of -3C all day. The 6 day outlook is for cooler weather than today but staying dry and overcast.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday continued mild and during the afternoon brightened up a little. We even caught brief glimpses of the sun. At 20:00 it was calm, mild and we had a clear sky. It was the same this morning first thing. The glass had fallen during the night but is rising now and on 1029mb. The forecast is for a dry day with broken cloud giving us some sun this morning and afternoon. The NW wind is light and gives us a high of 6C and a low of 0C with a -3C wind chill for most of the day. Once again the 6 day outlook is for similar weather with no rain in the forecast.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
I've had my walk and light shop and sat for twenty minutes on traffic duty at the end of Albert Road. Quite acceptable in the sun and out of the wind but I wouldn't call it warm! Still, far better weather than we have had of late.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday stayed dry and we had sun in the afternoon. At 20:00 it was calm, cool and overcast. It was the same this morning but with evidence of a light shower earlier in the night. The glass hasn't moved and is nailed down on just a shade over 1029mb. The forecast is for a dry, cloudy day. The light NW wind changes to a light SW this afternoon giving us a high of 6C and a low of 1C with a wind chill this morning of -3C and this afternoon of -2C. Very similar to yesterday. The 6 day outlook is for very similar weather to today, no surprises and near the average for the year.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was an acceptable day but I didn't go for a walk, I was up to my oxters in cooking veggies. At 20:00 it was calm and clear with a bright crescent moon. This morning it's calm and dry but overcast. The glass is down slightly on 1028mb. The forecast is for a dry cloudy day with fog probable by midday. The constant WSW wind is light and gives us a high of 6C and a low of 3C tonight with a wind chill of -3C. The 6 day outlook is still for similar weather, mainly dry and cloudy but perhaps warming slightly later in the week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday we had occasional mizzle and at 20:00 it was genuine light rain. First thing this morning it was overcast and dry but with evidence of a recent shower. Still the same. The glass is down a bit on 1023 and still falling. The forecast is for an overcast day turning to rain about 18:00. The constant WSW wind is brisk gusting to over 40mph later on. It gives us a high of 6C and a low of 4C tonight with a wind chill of -5C for much of the day. The 6 day forecast is for similar weather, warming a bit later in the week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon got windy and wet. By 20:00 it had dried up but was very windy and scattered clouds scudding across the moon. Still dry cloudy and windy this morning. The glass has fallen to 1015mb. The forecast is for a dry day with sunny spells during breaks in the cloud. The westerly wind is brisk and gusts to 40mph this morning but eases a bit later. It gives us a high of 6C and a low of 4C with a wind chill of -6C this morning but only -4C later when the wind drops a bit. The 6 day outlook has some rain in it but some warmer days also.
05:30. I can well believe the forecast of -6C wind chill, that wind is strong and gusty and slices right through you!

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
The day stayed bright and dry and at 20:00 we had a clear sky and a bright half moon. This morning the sky was overcast, we had signs of a recent light shower and since then it has started raining. The glass rose during the night but then fell back to 1016mb and still falling. The forecast is for showers until 06:00 and then sunny intervals and a dry day. The brisk wet wind is constant and gusts to almost 40mph. It gives us a high of 6C and a low of 4C tonight with a -5C wind chill for most of the day so wrap up warm! Expect a wet day tomorrow and then warmer and drier days for the rest of the week.

No wind here nearer the sea than the hill, we’ve had a light shower overnight, looking a reasonably bright day.
