Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

Yesterday was another day of heavy overcast and nowhere near comfortable temperatures. At 20:00 we had no sun at all but it was dry.... First thing this morning we had a breeze and it was cool and overcast. It hasn't changed since. The glass is down a touch on 1025mb. The forecast is for full sun to come in during the morning but I don't trust it, this is a west coast forecast and so often Barlick decides it is east coast! The constant ENE wind is moderate and gives us a high of 17C and a low of 6C with as much as -3C wind chill this afternoon. The six day outlook is still for warmer sunny weather. All we can do is hope that in the end summer might win!
Later at 05:00. I told you it was chilly! I noticed that the CH had kicked in briefly......

Yesterday the sun came out eventually and we had a decent evening. At 20:00 it was pleasant and we we had sun. First thing this morning we had a light breeze and a clear sky, it was cool. There has been no change. The glass is down a touch on 1024mb. The forecast is for full sun all day. The constant east wind is light and gives us a high of 19C and a low of 6C tonight with a -2C wind chill at worst. The outlook is for this weather to continue for at least a week. The topic the forecasters will be pushing on us shortly is drought, there is a shortage of rainfall as soon as we get decent weather!

Yesterday was proper Barlick summer weather, full sun all day even beyond 20:00. This morning first thing it was calm and we had a clear sky, it is still the same. The glass is steady as a rock on 1024mb. The forecast is 'sunny'. The constant NE wind is light and gives us a high of 19C and a low of 8C with perhaps a -2C wind chill. The outlook is for a week of similar weather. Barlick summer.

Yesterday was a nice day but still a niggling little east wind. At 20:00 we had a light breeze and full sun. First thing this morning it was calm, cool and we had broken cloud, it is still the same. The glass is almost unchanged on a fraction below 1025mb. The forecast is sunny spells until 09:00 and then full sun the rest of the day. The constant ENE wind is moderate and once more gives us a -2C wind chill. The outlook for the next six days is virtually the same. We will be hearing mutterings about lack of rain shortly......

I've had me walk and a sit in the sun. Warmest it's been all year! The waste paper bin men have just been. Most exciting thing that's happened in the back street this week so far! That's enough excitement for one day.... :biggrin2:

Yesterday was the best day so far. At 20:00 there were a few scattered fluffy clouds but basically full sun. This morning it is calm but overcast. The glass is still steady on 1024mb. The forecast is for an overcast day with the chance of sunny spells later this evening. The constant ENE wind is moderate and gives us a high of 16C and a low tonight of 8C with up to -2C wind chill. The outlook is for it to warm up by weekend when we are promised low 20s.

Yesterday slowly brightened but the overcast never cleared off as in previous days. At 20:00 we were bright but overcast. First thing this morning we had a light breeze and overcast. The glass is down slightly on 1023mb. The forecast is for the overcast to clear late morning and for us to have sun for the rest of the day. The constant E wind will be moderate and give us a high of 17C and a low of 8C tonight with a -2C wind chill. The outlook is for it to get warmer and brighter and for perhaps the odd shower in between spells of sun on Saturday and Sunday.

Yesterday the sun came in eventually but it was no earlier than the day before. At 20:00 we had late sun coming in under increasing cloud. First thing this morning we had a cool light breeze and an overcast sky. It hasn't changed since. The glass has moved appreciably for the first time in a few days and fallen to 1020mb. The forecast is for it to remain overcast until mid morning when the cloud will peel back and we shall have full sun. The constant moderate east wind gives us a high of 16C and a low of 8C tonight with a -3C chill. The outlook is for much warmer sunny weather for the next six days.

Yesterday was a rerun of previous days. At 20:00 we had full sun but still that sneaky east wind. First thing this morning we had the same wind and its accompanying chill and it hasn't changed since. The glass is down on 1017mb. The forecast is for bright broken overcast and full sun from noon onwards. The constant moderate east wind gives us a high of 18C and a low of 9C tonight with a -3C wind chill all day. The outlook for the next six days is for hot weather in the mid twenties with lots of sun, however no heat warning as is the case further south.
