The 'tree' part of the lost wax casting process. The final product could be chocolates that are broken off for consumption.

Ken has it. The product was metal type for printing Chinese Characters but of course could be used for any typeface.

Actually I never considered printing type. I think Tripps should get the gong he was much nearer with his thinking.

A very old Greek computer, used to show information about the stars. It's in a museum in Athens.

Ask yourself, how did they shape those plates when they had to be Done by hand? (I know because I asked a very old boiler-maker....)

I would guess they were shaped the same way as a silver smith but with much more heat and bigger hammers 🤷‍♂️😁
