WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?

I cooked some sausages this morning and had sausage and veggies X three yesterday.

Sausage and veggies X three as usual. I never cease to wonder how the veggies manage to taste different and better each succeeding day.

Sausage and veggies X three again. I shall cook sausages and will not need to shop for veggies or cook again until next week. This eating less game certainly makes a difference!

Sausage and veggies still rule and will do for at least two more days. Veggie shopping on Tuesday and I have my chicken defrosting in the fridge.....

I had sausage and veggies for breakfast and tea. In order to save one helping for this morning I had a salad buttie from Mandy at Barlic Bites.
Today I cook veggies!

I had the last of the sausage and veggies from last week for breakfast, nibbled on the veggies as I cooked them for dinner and had chicken and veggies for tea.nice to get cooked up and settled in for next week.....

I stumbled on with chicken and veggies X three and as a treat I fried my sweet potato chips.....

It's chicken and veg, (peppers and onions) with fajita spice which is a blend of medium hot spices. Served in a flat bread wrap usually with a chopped tomato and onion salsa. You can add a splash of yoghurt as well if you like.

I had a small bowl of spicy kebab meat at the Barlick Raj after fitting their new tap yesterday, it was very good.

I can't compete for elegance Kev. I had my usual chicken and veggies X three and my first Cox's Orange Pippin of the season!

A bit more rustic today, making a lamb keema pie. Minced lamb, onions, carrots, butter beans (smooshed up with a fork) and the usual cumin seeds, garlic, curry powder, turmeric, salt and pepper. A packet of ready rolled pastry, milk and turmeric to glaze and a sprinkling of freshly chopped coriander to serve.

I like the look of your 'pie'.

With just a change of shape (to round), I think you could have been far more trendy, and called it a 'Pithivier' .

Still would have tasted the same though.

I adapted it from a Nadya Hussain recipe, I didn't have a round tray. It did make it a lot easier with the ready rolled pastry though

I'm impressed by the Pithivier... Why the name?
I did nothing adventurous after my illegal buttie., just two helpings of chicken and veggies either side of it to make up the day's rations!.

I watched that on Nadia's program and will have go at that myself when we have been to the butchers. I will invite our Jack up for tea as he likes a bit of lamb as well

Apparently it's a round pie named after the town of the same name which is South of Paris.

Looks like the filling can be almost anything. I quite fancy a 'meat and potato' Pithivier.
