I've taken the bus to Colne this morning, I had planned on walking to my annual eyeball screening but it's a bit too wet for that.

Yesterday was a wet and windy day, at 20:00 it had bated but from the look of it we have had frequent showers during the night. This morning first thing it was cold and wet but not actually raining and it is the same now. The glass rose all day yesterday and is now on 995mb. The forecast is for light showers and occasional sunny intervals all day. The westerly winds are moderate and give us a high of 9C, a low of 6C tonight and a wind chill of -3C. The outlook has changed, they are not forecasting rain as heavy for tomorrow and Thursday and in general it will be colder.

Yesterday afternoon was definitely sunshine and cold showers. At 20:00 we had a slight breeze, overcast and it was dry. First thing this morning it was the same and hasn't changed since. The glass had risen to 1000mb but has since fallen back to 998mb and is still falling. The forecast is for heavy rain starting about now and lasting until late morning. The brisk wind starts and ends in the South and in between dallies in the SW with gusts of almost 40mph at times. This gives us a high of 9C and a low of 5C tonight with as much as a -4C chill at times. The outlook is for drier and colder weather for the rest of the week.
04:45. The rain has started just as in the forecast.

Same here Gloria. I have just surfaced after second sleep and I think I'm getting old, I feel this damp cold more than I used to so I have put my Cornish Fisherman's jumper on.

I have been to the Co-op for the few items I needed, I shall cook my chicken on Friday and so needed my sweet peppers and tomatoes.... It is much brighter and drier but very cold, not a morning for going and having a sit on traffic duty!

Yesterday stuck to the script and by late morning the rain had stopped but they were right about that wind chill! At 20:00 it was breezy and overcast with a few spots of rain. This morning it's still breezy and overcast with light rain just starting. The glass has fallen to 990mb. The forecast is for a spell of rain around dawn and then light showers interspersed by sunny intervals this afternoon. The wind will be a moderate southerly all day giving us a high of 7C, a low of 3C and a wind chill of up to -4C at times. The outlook is for similar cool weather until Monday when we can expect a high of 11C!

Yesterday afternoon deteriorated into s succession of showers gradually increasing in weight until at 20:00 we had significant rain. First thing this morning it was cold and we had light rain, The rain has stopped now but it is cold and damp. The glass fell to 982mb but is rising now and on 984mb. The forecast is for the overcast we have now to clear by dawn and we will have a dry sunny day. The mainly NW wind will be light giving us a high of 7C and a low of 2C tonight with as much as a -3C wind chill resulting in a perceived temperature of only 2C for much of the day. The outlook is for it to stay dry and cold over the weekend and then for next week to be cold and wet.

We had a clear start but as soon as it got light the mist from down below started to rise guickly. I just snapped it before we were enveloped.

I am back from veggie shopping in the town square and everything is ready for a big veggie cook-in tomorrow. I sat for twenty minutes on the bench eating a pork pie and the sun was quite warm. As long as you were out of the wind and in the sun it was fine but when you were in the wind and out of the sun it was bitter!

Yesterday afternoon seems to have been sunny over a lot of the country. Susan is in Rutland and she reported the same glorious sunshine and sharp wind chill. At 20:00 it was calm and clear and it is the same this morning, brilliantly clear, calm and cold. I don't doubt there will be a frost. The glass has risen strongly to 1000mb and the forecast is for a clear day with wall to wall sun. The wind is light and very variable, spanning the compass from NW to SE during the day giving a high of 8C and a low of 2C tonight with not a lot of wind chill. Sunday will be cooler and overcast, Monday onwards we can expect slightly warmer weather and more rain in the mix.

Yesterday afternoon was another sparkling but cold experience. At 20:00 it was still calm, clear and cold. This morning first thing it was the same and hasn't changed since. We have a sharp frost. The glass rose a bit yesterday but is falling back again now and is on 1000mb. The forecast is for it to be overcast but dry until early afternoon when significant rain will come in from the west and be with us for a while. The east wind will be light to moderate and gives us a high of 6C with a low of 6C tonight and a -4C chill at times this afternoon. The outlook is for a very wet day tomorrow followed by warmer broken weather for a while. (We are promised a tropical 10C!)
