Not sure of the exact term but its the remains of a valve into the beck from the former Coates Mill dam. Feeds into Butts/Stock beck down Victory Park. The dam is now the car park for Rolls Royce Bankfield.

It’s a Fidget Spinner, it helps some people to focus their mind or calm them.

That's a cracker ! A worthy challenge.

I'm assuming we are looking up into a roof space, but I can't reconcile the metal with the relatively flimsy wood and there seems to be some kind of opening mechanism there.
