MYSTERY OBJECTS
Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Wouldn’t a coffin bell be inside the coffin, for the person who is buried alive to ring
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here.

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Well done. That's what it is. It was rung by a piece of string going into the coffin Cathy, often tied round the corpse's ankle or wrist so that if they moved it rang the bell.

Got it, ofcourse the bell probably wouldn’t be heard from 6 foot under.

It's a grisly subject. Let's change it!

What is it and where?

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Yes Peter, exactly right. One of the forgotten facts about the mill is that when it was opened the owners held a large art exhibition in it and the chimney is modelled on an Italian Campanile.
Next one?

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
You are quite right. I jumped in without thinking! In my defence, both had chimneys modelled on campanile....

Is it an aerial view of something? And that looks like a footpath through the middle of it.

Yes, you're correct on that, Tom. [See correction below]

Re: MYSTERY OBJECTS
Whoops, I don't know how I got that mixed up. It was Stanley's post that is correct, not Tom's.
