Daughter has arrived at Brisbane Airport (not Melbourne), she says it’s pretty dead there, so All Good.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
There is a remarkably precise 'Yellow' hot weather warning issued by the Government which is extant until 11pm tomorrow. I have heeded it, and taken all necessary precautions. (Made more tea.)
Here is the current situation on the 'flight deck this afternoon. It's a 'personal best' since I bought the thermometer / hygrometer).
I think I will survive.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was a warm day and in the afternoon we got full sun and it was hot. At 20:00 we had full sun as I went to bed. (The nice thing about these stone houses is that they don't warm up quickly enough for a short spell of hot weather to make them uncomfortable.....) First thing this morning it was calm and warm with broken overcast. It's still the same now. The glass has fallen to 1007mb and still falling. The forecast is for a cloudy start and light rain by dinnertime. The south westerly winds will be light and give us a high of 21C and a low of 11C tonight with a negligible wind chill. The outlook for the next six days is for very similar weather and temperatures to today. Not blazing temperatures but very acceptable.....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was another warm day but with a slight difference in that late in the afternoon we got heavy overcast and light rain. At 20:00 it had stopped raining but we still had the overcast. This morning first thing it was calm, broken overcast and dry. It hasn't changed. The glass has fallen back to 1003mb and the forecast is for a sunny start and then sunny spells all day, apart from some cloud at midday. The constant west wind is moderate and gives us a high of only 17C and a low tonight of 13C with a -2C wind chill in the afternoon. We can expect a cloudy wet day tomorrow but then for the rest of the week it brightens up, we shall have more sun and it will be warmer again.

Yesterday was very warm and heavy, by teatime it was raining and kept that up until late. This morning is fresher with light cloud floating about. Looks like the Royal Lancashire Show has had a good three days

I've had my walk and got a few bits at the Co-op. Surprising how there is always something that you could do with if it's only a bottle of HP sauce with £1.50 Off the price!
I was a bit premature with my sunshine, we are back to 100% overcast but still quite acceptable!

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon's overcast morphed into sunshine later on and by 20:00 we had late full sun. This morning the forecast gives rain but it started dry and mild. It is still the same. The glass is up on 1008mb and the forecast is for light rain all day.... The SW wind will be moderate and gives us a high of 18C and a low of 12C tonight with perhaps a -3C wind chill at times this afternoon. The six day outlook is for warmer, drier and brighter weather. Very acceptable.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday we had very light drizzle all day. It was overcast and damp at 20:00 and it was the same first thing this morning. I've just looked and it has stopped now. The glass is up on 1010mb and the forecast is for a dry day with sunny spells. The westerly winds will be light and give us a high of 21C with a low of 10C tonight and negligible wind chill. The six day forecast is for similar temperatures, dry with sunny spells.....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon we had a lot of sunny spells but by 20:00 we were back to overcast and there was no late sun. This morning first thing it was calm, clear and we had a big moon. (It was full on the 21st), it is still the same. The glass is up on 1018mb and the forecast is for a dry day with lots of sunny spells. The constant light SW wind gives us a high of 22C and a low of 14C tonight with at most an occasional wind chill of -2C this afternoon. The six day outlook is for similar dry weather. Not blazing heat but very acceptable.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon we had more West Coast weather than East Coast and on the whole the cloud won out to the extent that at 16:30 we had light rain which persisted on and off until I went to bed at 20:00. This morning first thing we were overcast but calm and dry, it's still the same. The glass has fallen to 1008mb and the forecast is for light rain from 07:00 until noon and then overcast. The SW wind will be light to moderate and we shall have a high of 18C with a low of 12C tonight and a -2C chill this afternoon. The outlook is for slightly warmer and sunnier weather but not high summer.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon stayed dry and at 20:00 we had a breeze and good late sun. This morning first thing it was calm and there was only a very light overcast, the moon was clearly visible. It hasn't changed. The glass has risen to 1008mb and the forecast is for significant rain to come in around 09:00 and for that to persist until mid afternoon when we can expect sunny intervals. The light southerly winds will give us a high of 17C and a low tonight of 7C with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for much warmer and sunnier weather, a bit of summer in fact,
