I found it amusing and initially thought it was a joke too :good:

Thanks for the tip. Asda's a bit out of the way for me though.

My wine consumption is much reduced, and I've just recently finished the case bought in Jan / Feb from Naked Wine's offer. I just told them that I liked wines 'robust reds' - such as the one you highlight, and let them choose. They did a good job - and I recall that the Portugese ones were good - so I understand your enthusiasm.

I started a bottle of Paulo Leo Primitivo di Manduria last night which used to be wonderful - and it's a total disappointment. Not sure if it's the wine, or (post covid) me? I shall manfully finish it off tonight though.

I prefer 'robust reds' but P tends to steer towards a whiteboard rosé. I quite like a sauvignon blanc but a bottle of Aldi's malbec is my 'go to' :good:

As is the case with many things I have gorn orf wine but I'm pretty sure this is just another consequence of old age.
Up to now I haven't gone off food! That will be the time to worry.
When I was drinking wine I did like a good Rioja.
