Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon couldn't be said to be wet but it was rainy enough to keep the flags damp all afternoon. At 20:00 it was dry but heavily overcast. First thing this morning it was dry and we had broken overcast, the only change since is that the overcast is more heavy now. The glass has fallen to below 1003mb and the forecast is for a dry day of sunny intervals with the chance of a light shower around eight or nine o'clock this morning. The west wind will be brisk and gusts to over 45mph giving us a high of 19C and a low of 12C tonight with a wind chill of as much as -5C this afternoon. The outlook is for brighter and warmer weather over the weekend and into next week.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday turned out better than the forecast and the afternoon was quite pleasant. At 20:00 we had late sun. First thing this morning we had a breeze and broken cloudy overcast, it is still the same. The glass is up on 1010mb and the forecast is for a mostly dry day with sunny spells but a chance of light showers later this morning. The constant west wind is moderate and gusts to over 30mph at times giving us a high of 20C and a low of 8C tonight with a wind chill of -3C this afternoon. The outlook is for a three day spell of very warm sunny weather but then falling back to more normal temperatures.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon tried to behave itself but the short sunny spells sometimes ended in light spatters of rain, you could hardly call them showers. At 20:00 we had some half hearted late sun. First thing this morning we were overcast but dry and it hasn't changed since. The glass is up on 1019mb and the forecast is for a dry sunny day. The constant SE wind will be light and gives us a high of 24C today and a low of 14C tonight. The outlook is for dry weather, even warmer tomorrow but then cooling down gradually to more seasonable values.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was dry and sunny and at 20:00 we had good late sun. This morning first thing it was breezy, clear and mild. It's overcast but dry now. The glass is down on 1010mb and the forecast is for a bright overcast day with a chance of thunder this morning. The moderate wind starts SE but by noon has settled in the west. It gusts to over 30mph at times this morning. We will have a high of 24C and a low tonight of 9C with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for cooler weather but apart from rain on Thursday it will be mainly sunny and dry.

We aren’t far from Ribchester, just at the edge of Longridge, and it is sooooo muggy here at the moment. Just been to Preston hospital and it was nothing like that there.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
We were lucky in Barlick Gloria, no sign of thunder as far as I detected and not muggy either.
Yesterday was cooler and fresher than forecast and the afternoon was quit cloudy but we had some welcome late sun by 20:00. First thing this morning it was calm and clear but I see now we have an overcast of broken high cloud. The glass is down again on 1005mb and the forecast is for clear sunny weather until noon when it will cloud over and we can expect rain in the afternoon. The southerly winds will be light to moderate and at noon when the rain arrives it will gust to 30mph. We can expect a high of 20C and a low tonight of 8C. The outlook is for bright sunny weather and similar temperatures to today except for Thursday which is forecast to be overcast and wet.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon the overcast turned to rain at around 16:00 and at 20:00 it was still damping. No late sun! First thing this morning it was calm and overcast but dry. It hasn't changed. The glass is up on just below 1009mb and the forecast is for full sun all day. The light wind is variable starting in the NW and ending up tonight slightly stronger in the west. We can expect a high of 20C and a low tonight of 11C with a -2C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is for similar weather but the forecast for tomorrow has been modified from heavy to light rain.

Lovely sunny start to the day here. Just below us in the Ribble Valley is a blanket of mist, and it’s a thick wall of it, bet it’s fun going down the M6 at Preston.

I am back from my shopping. It's wet and windy out there.
I now have my meds, milk and a Panasonic electric razor.
I had noticed I was down to my last 30 toilet rolls so I have rectified that.
Very successful, I am glad I went.

We had mist for a while then overcast. Now the sun is shining and I shall go and post a letter. Back up and doing a load of washing. Just cooked this week's fried sweet potato chips and have given up on summer, I have gone back into a tee shirt and long sleeved shirt on top. I know when I'm beaten!

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was more overcast than sunny interval and at 20:00 we still had a cloudy sky. First thing this morning we had broken overcast and one shooting star. It's still the same no rain as yet. The glass is just below 1010mb and falling and the forecast is for light rain until at least noon. The constant SW or WSW wind is light to moderate and gives us a high of 18C and a low of 7C tonight with perhaps a -3C wind chill this afternoon.
