Peter, you did what I am going to do. Just keep going with the Otex and syringing as that is slowly improving things. I had also decided to start a preventative regime of a drop of BP grade olive oil each day. Gently gently catchee monkey!
Wendy, tell Col that Stanley says if he is to enjoy the benefits of having a Wendy looking after him he has to put up with the occasional mild infection..... :biggrin2:

All this talk of Chester has got me feeling nostalgic so I just had a look on street view and found the flat in Foregate Street that we moved into soon after we got married in 1975. Our little flat was on the second floor at the rear of the building with the entrance down the alleyway between the Indian Restaurant and the Chinese Takeaway which were both there nearly 50 years ago. There was a ladies hairdressers at the front on the first floor and the combined smell of cooking and perm solution was overwhelming! No problems with walking to work though, Col worked in the Town Hall and I worked at the Boat House down by the river.
Our bedroom was above the Indian restaurant's kitchen....it got very noisy!

One of our cryptic clues was in the town hall entrance 🤣

Thank your lucky stars Sue! I shall get another bottle of Otex today in case I need it.
I shall be in the shed at 06:00 doing useful things. I shall go to the Pharmacy for more Otex after second sleep. Theoretically I have to be in between 10:00 and 15:00 sat on top of the phone but I can't let my life be ruled like that. Pity because today promises to be bright and sunny, just the day for a sit on traffic duty!

First I refined the spanner on the toolpost on Mrs Harrison by substituting one that fits the nut properly, 1/2" Whitworth. Then I drilled and tapped for the studs that attach the crankshaft bearings, fitted the studs and adjusted the holes in the bearings so that they fitted. Now I deserve my breakfast!

Morning

I feel rubbish this morning. I was awake from about 1.30 till 5.O0 ish so now I have woken up I haven’t really. Its a weird cold just a constant runny nose and tiredness. Yesterday I even did a covid test but it was negative. My co-ordination was bad yesterday too knocking things over and generally being clumsy. Hopefully after I have had a shower I will feel more alive.

This morning I have french at Haslingden and as its thick fog I may go through Bacup and Rawtenstall rather than Owd Betts. This afternoon I am the GPs for the asthma clinic and my annual prediabetic blood test. This evening is zoom yoga. Have a good day all

Great minds think alike, that's the whole point of a mobile phone. It will not be out of range of the hose tower at the fire station on the Fernlea benches. :extrawink:

I shall be in the shed at 06:00 doing good things for an hour. It looks as though I have to go veggie shopping in Town Square today.
I have a question for the Brains.... My phone is on aeroplane mode to cut down on data usage by using Wi-Fi. Will it pick up a phone call while I am out or does it need taking out of aeroplane mode? :biggrin2: :good:

It will need taking out of aeroplane mode to receive calls. It won't pick up anything in aeroplane mode...

Airplane mode turns off all wireless and cell signal capabilities on your phone. When airplane mode (or flight mode) is activated, you can't make or receive calls or texts,

I started the morning by tidying up a section of my stock of BA hardware. I had stumbled across a box of assorted ones that was in the way so I spent at least twenty minutes sorting them out and storing rationally where they can be found! Then I set the engine up for boring the crankshaft bearings. Not as easy as it looks, then bore with 1/4" drill to check orientation, finishing with 1/2" and then reaming. The bores need prettifying but that will do for tomorrow, I have done more than twenty minutes overtime! Now I deserve Breakfast, that was an important step forward.

Morning

Yet another sneezy day and it looks like today will be the same. I have even done a covid test which was negative. I was fine during the morning with a very productive french conversation class. Lots of grammar was discussed, by request and I think 60 plus years of questions were cleared up in2 hours. Asthma clinic was fine as was yoga but by this time I was sneezing and bunged up again.

This morning is beautiful and a walk to the bank is on the cards as more money from the train over the summer has surfaced. Nothing planned for the afternoon except may be recapping on where I am at with designed shirt I am making with Maxine. I have a session with her tomorrow. Its pilates and yoga at the studio at tea time and thats me finished for the week as my Wednesday class time and teacher have changed . I am still debating with myself wether to join the new one.

Have a good day all

Aeroplane mode disconnects everything on my phone. You can switch individual components back on, such as WiFi.

I could forgive you all if you gave up on me completely!
Let me explain how I got in this mess. About three weeks ago I got a message from EE (My pay as you go card provider) that I had used up my data allowance. This had never happened to me before because I always use the phone indoors. I looked in settings and found that Wi-Fi and Airplane were off and so switched them back on and that cured the data problem. It would seem to me that all I needed to do was switch Wi-Fi back on. I have switched Airplane mode off permanently now to see if the data problem crops up again.
So to make it clear, I now have air[lane off and Wi-Fi on.
Please tell me if I am making sense. :biggrin2:
