I'd say that's because Sue adds pictures (as I do ) by means of attaching an image. Stanley uses the Gallery. I've had the gallery explained many times, but still haven't got the hang of it. Attaching an image is straightforward, and makes sense at each stage.
There is the added benefit that you can see how many views the picture has had, and get an idea of its appeal.

I believe there are memory issues but when such colossal amounts of memory are available in the cloud the amounts concerned seem trivial.

The simplicity of it all makes attachments attractive to me. Let Helga sort it out.
Agreed, much easier

We were young Bob , had graduated two years previously, I was on a 4 year degree course and still a student. Never regretted it though. We had 6 meals on a shelf in the kitchen or the ability to make 6 meals, the 7 th meal of the weeks was Su day lunch at my Mums and Dads. That continued till the girls activities started to fill the weekends, about 14 years later

More this morning on the process of rebuilding the engine preparatory to continuing with the fitting. First I cut the slot in the back of the piston which I will use when fitting the rod and piston to the crosshead. Then I fitted the cylinder, the valve chest, valve and lid and then the back cylinder lid. The flywheel is running easy and dead true. I can go on now with the Con-rod, crosshead and the valve train. I shall start that tomorrow. Right now the task is breakfast!

Morning

It was a warm night but due to be much cooler today. We are having a day out. Bob needs to collect some boiler testing paperwork from someone near Nottingham, we are planning to be there late morning. We are then delivering some of the paperwork to someone else on the way back so we are having lunch with them. Then it will be a leisurely drive back home through Derbyshire. Have a good day all

I took advantage of the cooler temperature to wash the car this morning, it was covered in dust and bird poop. I can see the birds in the trees eyeing it up already :biggrin2:

A ride out to Lytham is likely this afternoon.

I shall be in the shed first thing doing useful things to an engine which is shaping up nicely. If anyone is reading this and passes a woodyard, I need 3 pieces of hard wood 3/4" thick, 11" X 4"urgently. All exes paid.... :biggrin2:
Later today a walk, a shelf-filler from the Co-op and no doubt a bit of extender cooking.....

No point in an image this morning as it would only be of a block of brass.
This morning I put the slitting saw back in the vertical mill and used it to reduce the piece of stock Stuart's provide to the overall dimensions of the crosshead. Then I used a fresh piece of P50 emery paper to clean up the faces. Just one left to do but that will have to be on the mill so I finished the morning by taking the saw out of the VM and replacing it with a freshly sharpened end mill. I am ready now to carry on tomorrow! Now for breakfast.

Morning

We had a lovely day yesterday, did what we had to do, met who we had to meet and drove back via Bakewell where we spent an hour or so and did a rare thing in having an ice cream cornet. I am not a particular ice cream lover but it just seemed the right thing to do on a warm, sunny pleasant afternoon. We drove back from there with the roof of Bobs car down, enjoying the scenery . It did take 2.5 hours as we hit the usual hold up at Glossop however.

This morning is the butchers at Haslingden market, a visit to various shops for bits and pieces including some things to take to our friend Joanne in France. This afternoon I am at a workshop in Milnrow on how to do free embroidery on my sewing machine and Bob is taking the plants back to Kath that have been over wintering in our conservatory. This evening is u3a wine tasting online. I think the forecast is dry, sun and cloud and a pleasant 14 to 15 degrees. Have a good day all.

Sounds good Sue! I'm glad you had a successful and enjoyable day. Bob is a godsend to those engineering societies.....
Yes, today looks like another pleasant day, not too hot or cold but watch out, there's a chance of a frost tonight.....
I have finished my morning tasks and am now going back to bed for a couple of hours..... It's so good for me! :biggrin2:

I shall be in the shed early doors doing useful things to my engines. I expect to do a bit of extender cooking as usual.... my sweet potato fries look like the target today. Not too sure about a walk, I put my heavy coat back in the wardrobe and it looks as though it could be needed today. (I do feel the cold more as I age.... )

This morning I have milled the crosshead to its proper dimensions and installed the 5BA bolt that will be the pin connecting the con rod to the head. I'm ready now for changing to a 5/16" end mill and completing the last cuts on the crosshead. I deserve my breakfast!

Morning

Today will beca day for getting ready to go to France, bed changing, and the usual washing and ironing but also giving the garden a really good water. Yesterday I tipped all my seed trays into the troughs I use for growing veg and I added the few remaining seeds that I had of each plant. . I tipped them in a neat labelled row so if anything comes up ( which I doubt) I will easily recognise it. My runner beans looked very healthy indeed and I planted them straight in the garden on the wigwams I made earlier in the week.

Should time allow I will finish the summer top I have been sewing, it just needs the buttons added and one sleeve hemming but I shall also be watching Eve on youtube. This morning she swims the 1500 m, her preferred stroke and distance . This afternoon is the 200 m freestyle. Yesterday was the 400 m Individual Medley. Of course I can watch and sew

Bob will be at the park, a cooler day but still dry and sunny enough to attract plenty of families. Takings are good this season so far. Have a good day all.

This morning I started by milling the curve on the corner of the crosshead using a drill through the axis pin hole to set the radius. Then I measured and marked and milled the 5/16" wide slot to accept the small end of the connecting rod. Now for breakfast.

Morning

Lots of jobs done yesterday. Today we will finish our packing as we leave after breakfast tomorrow. Later we will put the filter and fountain on on the pond to aerate it and clean it up a bit and I shall water the garden with the hose pipe around teatime.

This morning I will be back on youtube to watch Eve in the 4 by 200 freestyle relay. She has a good swimming weekend achieving several pb times. Its been a good way to stop her worrying and working herself too hard before her GCSE s start tomorrow.

We have visitors this afternoon, coming round for a cuppa and to collect some wine we bought for them on our last trip. 13 degrees sun and cloud forecast. Haveca good day all.,
