I think Wendy might have got her grass cut.....
Yesterday was much drier than forecast. We didn't see our first light rain until mid afternoon. First thing this morning we had a breeze and it was overcast but dry. Since then we've had a light shower but it isn't raining at the moment. The glass is down on 1003mb and the forecast is for a windy day with broken overcast, sunny spells and occasional showers. The constant West wind will be brisk and gusts to over 45mph at times giving us a high of 17C, a low tonight of 13C and a wind chill of -4C for much of the day. The outlook is gloomy and wet but perhaps brightening up a bit towards the end of the week.

Yesterday was a better day than forecast. The afternoon was bright and warm with just a very light shower late on. This morning we had a breeze and the first spots of rain. The met office says the rain is heavy but they speak with fork tongue. The glass has fallen to 1007mb and the forecast is for a day of heavy rain. The constant WSW wind will be brisk and gusts to 40mph giving us a high of 18C and a low tonight of 13C with a wind chill of up to -4C. We are promised three more overcast days similar to this and then perhaps a glimpse of the sun.

We’ve had heavy rain overnight, which will be good for the reservoirs around us, and it’s still a steady flow coming down yet.

We have been water logged and windswept all week.
Some of our beaches are ‘no go’ area’s again. More to come.

Nothing extreme here Cathy.....
Yesterday we seemed to have a light drizzle for most of the day, I never saw any real heavy rain. I think we had a dry night. This morning it's calm and overcast but dry. The glass is down a touch on 1006mb and the forecast is for an overcast but dry day with less wind than yesterday. The constant WSW wind will be light and we can expect a high of 20C and a low of 12C tonight with a wind chill of no more than -2C. We can expect two more overcast showery days and then more sun from Saturday onwards.

Just back from a walk and a quick pop-in at the Co-op for milk and anything that caught my eye. Very fine mizzle blowing on the wind but so fine it could be ignored. Now for a bit of cooking of sell-by bargains and some YouTube....

We’ve had the same this morning, mizzle, but only for a short while. It is now having a go at sunning, but it hasn’t made its mind up yet.

Yesterday afternoon gradually became brighter and ended up sunny with late sun at sunset. This morning first thing it was calm and overcast but dry. Since then we have had a light shower and the wind is rising. The glass has fallen to 1004mb and the forecast is for an overcast showery morning with a sunnier afternoon and end of the day. The mainly WSW wind is moderate and gusts to 40mph later in the day giving us a high of 18C and a low of 12C tonight with up to -4C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is still for another three days of overcast....

Yesterday stuck to the forecast and we ended the day with a sunny late afternoon and late sun at dusk. This morning we have a light breeze under an overcast sky but it is dry. The glass has risen to 1013mb and the forecast is for an overcast day with occasional showers. The constant SSW wind will be moderate and gusts to 30mph giving us a high of 20C, a low of 16C tonight and a wind chill that might reach -3C this afternoon. Two more overcast days Saturday and Sunday and then a very hot day Monday with full sun and the rest of the week will be sunny and warm. It looks like a nice start to July.....

Yesterday was exactly as forecast, overcast all day but slightly less rain than the Met Office said. There was no late sun and this morning first thing it was calm and overcast but dry. This has not changed since. The glass is up slightly on 1014mb and the forecast is again for an overcast day with showers. The constant WSW wind will be moderate and gust to 30mph. We can expect a high of 20C and a low tonight of 14C We will have a wind chill of -2C all day occasionally rising to -3C. Tomorrow will be similar to today but Monday sees a change to sunny hot weather and that's the outlook for the rest of the week.

Yesterday afternoon was overcast and ended with light showers. This morning first thing it was calm and overcast and it hasn't changed since. The glass is up again on 1020mb and the forecast is for a dry sunny day. The constant WSW winds will be light and allow us a high of 22C with a low of 13C tonight and a wind chill that is never more than -2C. The forecast for tomorrow is a sunny day of 26C and after that a warm sunny week. We may have got rid of the overcast for a while!

Our deciduous trees are all bare of leaves now.
Plenty of dry and bright spells to be out in the garden, but I wouldn’t trust putting any washing out.
Heating is on at about 5pm. All good 😊.

Yesterday afternoon developed into a very pleasant day.Sunny and warm with a nice breeze. Late sun right up to nightfall. This morning it's calm and mild under a broken cloud overcast. The glass is down slightly on 1018mb and the forecast is for bright overcast sunny spells developing into full sun this afternoon. The pollen count is very high. The westerly winds will be very light and we can expect a high of 26C and a low tonight of 14C with negligible wind chill. Many people further south will wish they had our relatively cool temperature, they are looking at 30C and further south in Europe even 40C. There is much good to be said about living in the foothills of the Pennines. The outlook for the rest of the week is sunny with temperatures around the low twenties.... A nice start to July!

Yesterday was another very pleasant day, very hot but not oppressively so unlike many other areas. We didn't have direct continuous sun for much of the day but it was still hot. I slept well, it wasn't an uncomfortable night. This morning it was overcast but mild and dry with a light breeze. The glass has dropped to 1013mb and the forecast is for an overcast day with perhaps light showers later and into the evening. Th light wind is variable varying fro westerly to easterly and visiting the north in between. We can expect a high of 20C and a low of 12C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook is good with similar temperatures to today and perhaps some light rain on Saturday and Sunday. A very gentle entrance to July.
