We did a Great Rail Journey about 30yrs ago to Avignon and Annecy, it was excellent. Your boat looks lovely.

Back up after two hours second sleep. Having a hot drink before gallivanting off to Town Square!

Not mainly, but we will be at Wax and Taps later this morning for a big cheque presentation for Bosom Friends for their fund raising efforts on our behalf.

Back home from veggie shopping in the Square and a cup of coffee with my ladies. Very hot in the sun. Glad I'm not cooking today!

It is very lovely. We are not disappointed. Today the weather is OK but we came for the scenery and not the weather

Saying goodbye to Col's old tractor. That was a fun morning while the guys who came for it tried to winch it onto the trailer. They eventually managed with help from our neighbour and his Tele handler. They return for the second one tomorrow!

Always sad to see the back of old machines. They carry so many memories.....
Today I shall have my hour of occupational therapy in the shed early doors but after second sleep my course is clear, veggie cooking for three hours!

Before I started serious work on the castings I had to reinstall the vise on the VM and tram it in using a piece of flat ground HSS stock and a dial indicator. Then I had to make sure my cutter was in good order. Remember that all my cutters are worn-out discards and don't hold their edge long..... Then I got a few cuts in on the steam valve but there is a lot more to do to it. I deserve my breakfast.

Morning

Its a beautiful day today, sunny and due to reach the mid to upper 20 s by late afternoon. Its a fairly relaxing day with a short guided tour to an abbey after breakfast, then
a little more sailing to Durnstein. There we have the afternoon to explore the town and area ourselves. The visit to the Austrian Lakes was stunning, but a long trip so we were in bed quite early followed by a good eight to nine hours sleep. It rained whilst we were on the coach but were lucky to have nice weather when we stopped. Hope all is good with all of you , have a nice day as they say

Always a nice time of the week. I have just finished cooking this week's veggies and have put my pans away. The only thing left to do is to clean the hob and I shall do that small task when it has cooled down..... Nice to sit down and relax!

I slept over this morning and so might decline the shed this morning as it's very warm in their and nobody is supervising me! There could be some extender cooking later this morning but beyond that very little beyond looking after myself.... Despite the temperature being lower it feels warmer in the house this morning. Looking at the forecast we have over 90% humidity so that might be the reason.

Morning.

Yesterday was warm and sunny as we visited the UNESCO. Melk Abbey in the morning and in the afternoon the village of Durnstein. In 1192 to 1193 Richard the Lionheart was held captive there in the castle on the hill, now a ruin. We were going to walk up to it but it was just too hot, though some people did. We had a beer instead. Today we are visiting Vienna, in the morning a guided tour and this afternoon the option to do our own thing either staying in Vienna, staying on the boat or visiting a palace. We may stay in Vienna. 29 is forecast. Have a good day all

"We had a beer instead."
I like that Sue! That would have been my choice as well! 29C is too hot. We are looking at 22C with up to a -3C wind chill and tomorrow the forecast high is 17C, well below the seasonal norm.
I am back up after my second sleep and I'm fancying making some savoury cabbage and onion..... It seems to be working if my recent blood test is anything to go by.
