Yesterday we finally saw a bit of sunshine late on around 19:00. This morning it's calm and overcast but dry. The glass is steady on 1014mb and the forecast is for a day of sunny spells and light showers.... The constant NW wind will be light but gusty this afternoon and we can expect a high of 19C with a low of 9C tonight. There will be only a slight wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather next week but Saturday and Sunday are forecast to be overcast and wet. August is not giving us high summer yet!

Yesterday afternoon was brighter but not much. We didn't have any late sun. This morning it's calm and overcast but dry. The glass is up a touch on 1015mb and the forecast is for a dry bright but overcast day with sunny spells. Better than the outlook has been. The westerly winds will be light to moderate and we can expect a high of 19C, a low of 11C tonight and a wind chill of up to -3C. Sunday and Monday are the wet days now, the forecast of rain has been moved forward. The rest of the week will be drier and sunnier but no high summer.

Yesterday afternoon got better and better and we finished the day with full sun. This morning we have a light breeze and overcast but dry. The glass a fallen slightly to 1014mb and the forecast is for it to start raining any time now and be wet until mid morning when we will revert to sunny spells and then full sun for the remainder of the day. The westerly winds will be light to moderate gusting to almost 35mph this afternoon and giving us a high of 21C and a low of 12C tonight. The wind chill will get to -3C this afternoon. We have a yellow warning for wind for tomorrow and Tuesday (06:00 - 06:00) and after that we revert to drier sunny weather for the rest of the week. (But no high summer!)

We're still a bit warmer than you Cathy.
Don't worry too much about us, we are used to storms up here and they are very seldom as bad as the met office would have us believe....

Yesterday afternoon ended as bright overcast and there was no late sun. This morning first thing it was calm and dry under an overcast sky even though the forecast tells us it is raining heavily. I have just had a shufti and we now have light rain. The glass is steady on slightly under 1014mb but falling rapidly. The forecast is for heavy overcast and rain until midday when it stops raining and brightens to a dry afternoon of sunny intervals. The constant westerly wins soon strengthen to brisk and it will gust to just under 55mph later. Expect a high of 18C and a low of 11C tonight with a wind chill that could reach -5C or more. It will be a windy night and tomorrow will be windy and showery. By Wednesday we are out of it and can expect a dry sunny week.

Yesterday the Met Office over-egged the pudding with storm warnings. All we had was a windy day and there was quite a bit of sunshine after midday into the evening. This morning first thing it was windy but clear enough to see stars and dry, the Met Office says it is raining! I have been out for a shufti and it's still the same. The glass fell back yesterday but has recovered this morning to 1010mb. The forecast is for a windy blustery day with sunny intervals and showers until late this afternoon. The constant west wind will be brisk gusting to 45mph and will allow us a high of 17C with a low tonight of 11C and a wind chill of -4C for much of the day. Tomorrow will be much sunnier and that continues for the whole of next week.
Later at 06:30.
We have seen our first light rain.

No sign of the sunny intervals, just ragged cloud overcast and mizzle.
(Just been outside, make that drizzle!)
No sooner had I written that when the sun came out! Things look a bit more cheerful now. Still lots of broken cloud but it's stopped raining.

Yesterday afternoon was mainly overcast and there was no late sun. This morning first thing we still had a breeze and broken overcast but it was dry. I've had a look and there is no change. The glass is well up on 1020mb. The forecast is for a dry day of bright overcast and sunny spells. The constant west winds will be moderate and we can expect a high of 18C and a low tonight of 12C with a wind chill of -3C for much of the day. The outlook is for a dull wet day tomorrow and then improving dry sunny weather....

Yesterday afternoon started sunny but eventually descended into overcast again, there was no late sun. This morning first thing we had a light breeze under heavy overcast but it was dry even though the Met Office told us it's raining. It's still dry but there has been a light shower of rain. The glass has fallen back to 1014mb and the forecast is for heavy overcast and showers until late morning when it could improve to sunny spells. The brisk winds will be mostly WSW and gust to 35mph. We can expect a high of 19C and a low tonight of 11C with -4C wind chill for much of the day. The outlook is for better weather, warmer, drier and more sun steadily getting warmer all week.

Yesterday afternoon saw little sun and what there was was watery. No late sunshine. This morning we have a light breeze under broken overcast but dry. The glass is on 1011mb and tending to rise. The forecast is for a dry day of sunny spells, full sun later. The constant brisk WSW wind gusting to 35mph will give us a high of 19C and a low of 12C tonight with a chill of -4C for much of the day. The outlook is for drier warmer sunnier weather as the week passes.
