Yesterday was bright but overcast and it stayed dry, no late sun. This morning it's calm overcast and dry. The glass is steady on 1018mb and the forecast is for a mainly overcast day. The light wind starts in the NW and then by early morning is in the NE and stays there for most of the day. We can expect a high of 17C and a low of 10C tonight with a negligible wind chill. Tomorrow sees the start of a slight improvement and we can expect brighter warmer weather but no heat wave!

Yesterday all I saw was overcast as we drove East to Doncaster. This morning it's calm and overcast but dry. The glass is still steady on 1018mb. The forecast is for yet another overcast day. The westerly winds will be light to moderate and we can expect a high of 18C, a low of 11C tonight and perhaps a -2C chill this afternoon. We can expect a similar day tomorrow and then it brightens up and gets warmer.

Yesterday never opened up and we had an afternoon of mostly overcast and no late sunshine creeping in under the cloud. It was a cool night and this morning it's calm, overcast and dry. The glass remains steady on 1018mb and the forecast is for a dry but overcast day. The first half of the day the light wind will be westerly but from early afternoon onwards to will be in the east. We can expect a high of 19C and a low tonight of 11C with negligible wind chill. The outlook for the next six days is still much warmer and brighter but don't expect the return of high summer....

Yesterday was another overcast day with no late sun. This morning it's calm, overcast and dry. The glass is still steady on 1018mb. The forecast is for a brighter day I think with plenty of sunny spells. The very light southerly breezes will allow us a high of 22C and a low of 10C tonight with negligible wind chill. This is the start of a spell of warmer weather, not high summer but an improvement.....

Morning Cathy! Yes, you will soon be warmer than us again. We are seeing the first signs of an early autumn due to the stress Nature has been under with the dry weather.

Yesterday developed into a very pleasant afternoon, not too much sun but very warm and calm. This morning it's calm and clear and the glass has moved at last, down slightly to 1015mb. The forecast is for full sun. The constant south wind will be light to moderate and we can expect a high of 26C and a low of 13C tonight with a wind chill that could reach -4C this afternoon when it is hot so that will be welcome! The outlook is for sunny spells and cooler with a chance of showers, particularly on Wednesday.

Yesterday developed into a hot afternoon, made me wonder if it was the last of the year.... By dusk it was overcast and there was no late sun. This morning it's calm, overcast and dry. The glass has fallen sharply to 1003mb and the forecast is for heavy rain within the hour and then a day of sunny spells and showers. The light to moderate breeze starts in the south but is WSW for most of the day. We can expect a high of 21C and a low tonight of 11C with perhaps a -2C wind chill this afternoon. Tomorrow is forecast to be gloomy and wet and this is the start of a spell of cooler weather but perhaps brighter. Feels like a touch of September coming in early.....

The period of heavy rain that was forecast turned out to be a light shower which has hardly damped the flags..... Now we wait patiently for the sunny spells.... :biggrin2:

Yesterday afternoon showers punctuated the sunny spells.... there was no late sun. This morning we have a very light wind, partial overcast and it's dry. The glass has fallen back to 1000mb. The forecast isn't as dire as the Met Office have been predicting in the outlook. A period of heavy rain in the middle of the day flanked by sunny spells before and after. The southerly winds will be light to moderate all day gusting to almost 30mph and we can expect a high of 18C and a low of 11C tonight with a wind chill that gets to -3C at times. The outlook is for very similar weather, perhaps a touch cooler.

Yesterday afternoon stuck to the forecast and we had sunshine and showers. There was no late sun, just heavy overcast. The glass is down on 997mb. This morning first thing we had a breeze and broken overcast but it was dry. The forecast is for another day of sunshine and showers with heavier rain after noon perhaps.... The southerly winds will be moderate and we can expect a high of 18C and a low of 11C tonight with a chill of -2C for much of the day. The outlook remains for a week of very similar weather, sunshine and showers......

Winter is saying Goodbye and we have been told to Batten Down The Hatches.
We have heavy rain and strong winds from now to at least 8pm Friday night.

It’s going to severe. I’m not going anywhere. 😊

Are you on the "meteorological seasons" Cathy, carefully arranged for the start of the month for the convenience of data?

If not and you are like me and adhere to our rotation period around our star you will still have around three weeks before the season changes for you. :extrawink:

Morning Cathy.... It doesn't matter what you call it, you are on the verge of moving into better weather, just as we are on the transition into worse....
Yesterday afternoon stuck to the script and we had heavy rain at times, almost thunder showers. The day finished with heavy overcast and no late sun. This morning we have a clear sky and light breeze. The glass is down on 990mb and the forecast is for an overcast day until noon when we get an afternoon of heavy showers and sunny spells if we are lucky. The wind will be light to moderate starting in the south but by noon it will be in the west. We can expect a high of 18C and a low of 11C tonight with perhaps -2C chill this afternoon.... We are promised heavy overcast and rain tomorrow and after that brighter weather with sunny spells and light showers.

Yesterday afternoon was a procession of showers, some heavy and the day ended up heavily overcast, no late sun. This morning it's breezy, overcast and the flags are wet after a recent shower. The glass is up on 995mb and the forecast is for another day of sunny spells and showers with perhaps heavier rain this afternoon. The southerly winds will be light to moderate gusting to 35mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of 19C and a low of 11C tonight with a chill of -3C this afternoon when the wind is strongest. The outlook is for very similar weather, perhaps heavier rain on Monday.

All calm today, but during our last couple of days of severe weather with the heavy rain and wind, we also had Thunder, Hail and 2 Mini Tornadoes .
Oh, and in the last couple of weeks, we have a few small Earthquakes. It’s just about all happening here :surprised:

Yesterday afternoon was heavily overcast and showery. There was no late sun and it went dark early.... This morning first thing it was breezy and the overcast must have been broken because I could see some stars. I've just had a shufti and it hasn't changed. The glass is up slightly on 993mb. The forecast is for a day of sunny spells and showers.... The southerly winds will be moderate to brisk gusting to nearly 40mph and we can expect a high of 19C with a low of 12C tonight and a wind chill of up to -3C. The outlook is for similar weather tending to get cooler.
