Are they the ones with the jet black soil on them Moh? Haven't seen any for years. I lived on stew and spuds yesterday and there's enough for today. Pudding was a banana and an apple. I think I'm getting more and more minimal in my cooking as I get older.

The pie crust made with pizza dough was interesting Eileen, not as satisfying as real pastry, but better than nothing!
Chilli with rice, lots of salad & tacos last night.

Moh everyone wondering were you were! Turkey steak for tea with mushrooms and tomato. Followed by strawberries. I have had the chilli the hairy dieters did in a pub in a crispy basket and loads of salad, and cheese and sour cream was very nice and low in calorie. Eileen

Beef stew with new potatoes and roast veggies. I did a mix of cauli, courgette, carrot, beetroot and onion. Yummy.

Got some orange label smoked salmon at the Co-op and had it between the two remaining pita breads, never had farmed salmon before, nice. That meant I wasn't hungry at teatime so had some scones with butter and blackcurrant conserve. Two pears for pudding!

Sausage butty, half a Soreen loaf and fruit for pudding. Not into cooking at the moment. Butcher closed this week so more pork-based enterprises out of the freezer later in the week!

Two pork chops with fat trimmed off, tomatoes, baked beans and a couple of poached eggs on top. I can see black puddings looming in today's menu!

They were doing the BOGOF on naan bread again in the Co-op so i had two for dinner with sausage in them. Bit too much really so tea was a little butty and two bananas. (The ones that Bodge says are past their sell-by date because they have brown spots on the skin)

I had a cock-up with the loaf I baked yesterday. Too much olive oil I think. It came out like Pumpernickel but still edible so I put another mix in and had a heavy bread butty with smoked haddock for dinner. Very, very filling! So tea was two bananas and two pears.... (The second loaf was OK)

You don't know how good that sounds Eileen.
Just had a bowl of Soup for the tenth night in a row ( and to be honest, I am sick of Soup!)
Came back from our holiday two weeks ago and had both put on weight ( groan). The Soup diet really works for hubby, who has lost 3.5 kilos in 10 days. I have not lost anything! It is so unfair.
He wants to keep going indefinitely with the Soup, but I am getting to the stage where I need to CHEW.

Maz, put the soup through a strainer then you eat the solid bits and give him the liquid. Alternatively, buy him a stack of soup packets/cans then phone your friends and arrange to go with them for a meal every other night!

Good idea, Tiz.
The soups are all home-made and chock full of Veg. I vary them as much as I can for interest sake, including adding Curry Powder to one lot during the week just to take the boredom off it ( for me).
I wouldn't mind if I was getting the results his lordship is, but I find it terribly difficult to lose weight.
I must admit I have not been hungry...just 'wanting'. In my case it is the need to have a good chew on something ( we haven't even been having bread with the soup).

By the way Tiz....I have read of your recent troubles and am sending a cyber-hug. Seems both you and Mrs Tiz have a lot on your plates just now.
