Yesterday afternoon was another gloomy end to the day. This morning we have niggling little cold breeze under a clear sky. The glass is up on 1006mb and the forecast is for a clear day with full sun. We shall have a constant light NW wind all day and can expect a high of 7C, a low of -5C tonight and a wind chill of -3C for much of the day. Thursday will be a warmer day but the rest of the week is more overcast and colder.

Yesterday afternoon was full sun but below freezing due to the prevailing North winds. We had a clear night and first thing this morning it was calm, clear and frosty. It is still like that but with a promisee of overcast. The glass is up on 1018mb and the forecast is for an overcast day with possible sunny intervals this morning but after noon we can expect the overcast to become heavier and there is the possibility of rain. The winds today will be SW and start calm but gradually strengthen until they become moderate later today. We can expect a high of 7C and a low of 6C tonight with a wind chill that could be -4C this afternoon and evening as the wind strengthens. Expect a warm wet day tomorrow but then the rest of the week settles down to bright dry overfcast and seasonal temperatures. No surprises.

Yesterday afternoon followed the forecast and gave us heavy overcast and rain which extended well into the night. This morning first thing we still had wind and rain and it hasn't improved since. The glass is down on 1007mb and falling. The forecast is for wind and rain all day. The constant SW wind will be brisk and gusts to over 40mph later in the day. We can expect a high of 13C and a low of 6C tonight with a wind chill of -4C for most of the day. The outlook for the rest of the week is for similar broken weather but cooler.

To be honest, I never noticed the weather yesterday afternoon I was too busy dealing with a small domestic crisis! :biggrin2: The evening was windy but mostly clear skies. This morning it is windy, cold an d dry under broken overcast. The glass is down sightly on 1003mb. The forecast is for the daylight hours to be wet and windy. After dark, just windy. The constant SW wind will be brisk and gusts to over 40mph all day. We can expect a high of 8C, a low of 3C tonight and a wind chill of -5C for most of the day. The outlook is for broken weather, tomorrow and Monday being very wet. Quite cold.

It’s gone very dark, chucking it down now, and we’ve just had a clap of thunder.

I'd just gone back to bed for a dadnap when at 11:45 we had what I can only say was a mini-cell of violent weather. It had been raining hard but suddenly it went dark, the rain increased as the wind started gusting well above 40mph and then the rain turned to sheets of hail that rattled on the north facing window of the bedroom. This lasted just short of ten minutes and then we went back to being a normal snotty November day.
It was the most violent episode I have seen for many years and I'm glad it didn't last!
