Morning

Looking good there Kev, i think we went to a wedding there once or it may have been my Aunts 90 th birthday. Long time ago

This morning I am feeling a lot better though Bob is now suffering a bit. I did not sleep as well as the last couple of nights but I hadn’t taken any medication. The party last night was fun and I stayed a lot later than expected. Today I have no plans except the u3a Art groups Christmas lunch at the Ram in Cliviger. Its a cold dry morning with rain forecast this afternoon. Have a good day all

That afternoon rain was heavy and cold, I hope it didn't affect you too much!
I've had a better night, still running early but I got six hours sleep in. I shall try to remember what I did and repeat it today.....
I shall start in the shed doing useful things to my castings again.

Change of plan. Have been hit by what I suspect is a low sugar spike so I am having breakfast and going back to bed.

Thanks for asking Cathy.... I think I'm improving slowly. Today is better, I went back to bed and had another two and a half hours good sleep. I am back downstairs now and the effects of the sugar spike, If that's what it was, are completely gone.
As a bonus I had a lovely dream, I went back and climbed Salisbury Cathedral's spire to inspect it and it was a really vivid detailed dream. Those day are gone but I still have them inside my head! I shall consider a second breakfast now, after that I deserve it.

Morning

We had a lovely meal yesterday, The Ram is well worth visiting. It started raining just as we got home about 4.00 pm and wasn't heavy until the evening.

Today it is due to rain all day. I want to go to Rochdale to buy wrapping paper for Tairas 50 th birthday present from the Tuesday group plus a call to Marks and Spencers to buy the rest of her present. I think we will drive down. Otherwise a bit of sewing. Our meat delivery is due before 10. Have a good day all

I am running ear;ly again and will have to make some adjustments so not much point forecasting what I shall be doing. This broken sleep pattern is a bugger, I am playing it by ear. :extrawink:

This morning I did the rough but accurate turning operations on the flywheel, Bored it for the crankshaft and put the witness mark 'F' on the web of the shaft so there can be no mistake. I am now seeking my breakfast.

Morning

The after effects of the cold continue as I am still heavily congested and experiencing headaches because of it. Bob is at the tickling cough stage. However in ourselves we feel ok, I have finished the Christmas cards and wrapping whilst Bob has done a few internal and external decorations.

The rain yesterday was not nice. It was only light drizzle when we went the shops, after our meat delivery, but by the time we had finished shopping it was rather heavy. Bob wanted to look at a new laptop as the microphone in his has stopped working. It was a reconditioned machine and rather large and heavy compared to new ones. We were amazed how cheap new ones could be to do all that Bob needs to do. He uses his tablet for most things like I do. Anyway we drove round to Currys which is just the other side of the town centre and the college. It was nearly 10 minutes before we got any help. We were promised it but it never arrived despite three more people coming in the shop afterwards and being attended to ( It has been noted on our customer feedback) . Anyway a very polite, efficient young man saw us hanging around or more correctly , me leaning on a display shelf with hand resting on my chin looking very bored, and came and asked if we needed help

Bob bought his laptop then I spoke to him about phones. Over the years I have had various makes of phones including my present one ( bought online during covid), none of them including the Samsung I presently have would bluetooth with an ipad. As I do most of my photography on phone these days I wanted that facility. I have been very pleased with my present phone but have found that what I thought was a large memory seems to be mainly taken up with the apps put on automatically. I only two or three extra ones and I am constantly being told that I have no memory left ,

When we were in France I did a lot of online research comparing specs such as memory, physical size and image handling details, only the iphone met my requirements so that is what I bought yesterday after a thorough discussion and demonstration by our sales chap. It wasn’t in stock but will be delivered to me today. He said they kept few phones in stock , but promise next day delivery., I suppose because it is easy theft and resale stuff . After arriving home I ordered a compatible case on Amazon and amazingly it arrived at 7.00 pm

So my day today, will be usual stuff, wash and change the bedding, do the ironing and set up my new phone. Neither of us have an inclination to do any cleaning. I have done the bathroom and Bob will do the kitchen after breakfast the rest will wait till we feel better. Its hardly a mess or very dirty. Its due to rain heavily all day so I doubt Bob will be at the park long , but they do have next weeks Santa Special to organise. Have a good day all

I have had a better night's sleep and whilst I am running early I hope this morning will be nearer my normal schedule. In other words I am aiming for an hour in the shed first thing working on my castings. I don't need to do any shopping, I did that yesterday so today could well be another day spent building up my sleep account, it has suffered over the last week.

I did no engine building this morning but concentrated on cleaning Mrs Harrison and giving her a good oiling. I wouldn't say I have been neglecting her but she was definitely overdue for a good clean. Now I am chasing an early breakfast and second sleep.

Morning

It was a hard day yesterday sorting out this new phone. I have changed from Android to iphone and I was assured everything would transfer via an app. Well half of it did then the instructions of what to do seem to disappear or were confusing so I ended up having to do all the apps by hand. None of them seem wanted to acknowledge my passwords so I had to change all of them, several times. So if I changed my email password I had to change it on all of my devices.I lost all my whats app chatlines and had to contact everybody so I could reconnect. Briony thought it was a scam ( the only one who did) so I had to put it on facebook that it wasn’t.It is the only way I can contact Lucy . In total it took over 10 hours and even now my email is not working properly and I have had to re register on the NHS app this morning. I was beside myself not helped by a sinus headache. Bob didn’t go to the park because of his cold so all in all we were a right pair yesterday

This morning i shall try and contact the GP about my blood results and go to my french class in Haslingden. I am unprepared for the latter because of the above.

Rain expected much later today but 10 degrees . Have a good day all

When we got new phones there was an issue with WhatsApp transferring to the new phones. Col looked into it and came up with a simple solution that worked. Shame I can't remember. Is there a QR code in the app?

That would be a nightmare for me as well Sue.I could understand Apple not making it easy to move from their OS to Android but can't understand why they haven't worked very hard at making it easy for you to log in. I get the feeling I must be very nice to Kev because he could well be where I look to for help....
And yes, the last time I had a problem Col sorted me with one hand tied behind his back.....

I didn’t have a QR reader as that wouldn’t load either which was really another problem 😳

I have always regarded Apple kit as overpriced and over-hyped. You can buy a whole lot of Android for less money and are not locked into the same OS and apps. All our phones and tablets talk to each other without problems as required. That's my 10 pennorth. I hope you get it sorted Sue

Ok all I am trying to do is sort my new phone out. It won’t log in to one guy. I tried changin g my password on my ipad but don’t think it has. I have been asked an arduous CAPTCHA. Test. By my reckoning it is not possible there are not 27 letters. Do the spaces count as letters. It is very difficult to see and count on a small phone screen. I give up !

Yes but when you already have an ipad, had one for years and the android won’t blue tooth to it, it is a pain to say the least. I love my ipad , always have and hope to love this. I have saved for it, researched it. If it lasts me as long as my ipad I won’t complain
