Thanks for all your comments. I'm seeing an improvement in the NHS responses now, which is remarkable when you consider what the workers are up against. As well as the usual problems there is now also a loss of trained staff going back to their home countries because the medics are now being paid more in those countries.

I can't find anything current in the news but I heard a report of end of life care taking up a third of hospital beds. They say that when someone near the end of life is admitted staff try to do all they can and this results in wasted time and resources being used on tests, scans and intervention when in reality the best treatment is to leave the old alone to look after themselves if they are capable.
This is exactly my point of view and I am glad to hear someone is recognising it!

Quite. That's why I declined further treatment for my cancer Peter. So far I have no reason to doubt this was the right course.

I've had my repeat prescription meds via Pharmacy2U through the post for a while but now I'm switching back to Well Pharmacy. Just before Xmas I placed an order with Pharmacy2U for the four meds. They sent three but had cancelled the order for the 4th because they couldn't access any. My GP surgery phoned to warn me of the cancellation and bailed me out with a paper scrip to take to a local surgery. Well Pharmacy now offer free delivery so I'm going with them. They have physical shops so I can go in and question them if there's a problem. When I got the recent cancellation with Pharmacy2U I couldn't get through to them on the phone or by email or online and their web site was not helpful.

A curious observation....I looked up Pharmacy2U prescriptions on Trustpilot and they get excellent reviews. They also sell ordinary OTC meds and the usual `chemist's' items. Then I found that has a separate Trustpilot web site page (Pharmacy2U Shop) and it has the worst ratings I've ever seen!

If Well treat you as efficiently as they do me these days you'll be well pleased Peter. During the last 12 months they have been through a crisis and come out the other side stronger and better organised.
