Yes Kev, they've modified the weather forecast and added the yellow warning from 18:00 to 09:00 tomorrow.
I've been out for some essential shopping this morning. Bitterly cold but I don't need to worry about milk now.....

Yesterday afternoon was notable mainly for the bitter wind. Despite the Yellow snow and ice warning there has been no sign of it during the night. This morning it's calm and we have light rain with tiny flakes of snow, enough to wet the flags. The glass has fallen to 990mb. The forecast is for light wintry showers until dawn and then a misty day. The constant East wind will be light and we can expect a high of 5C and a low of 3C tonight with a wind chill of -4C for most of the day. Expect another cold overcast day tomorrow and then similar weather for the rest of the week but perhaps slightly warmer.

Been out to top the bird seed up, and it’s still nippy but not as much as yesterday, no wind and a cloudy sky. Feels like snow but not happening as yet.

Very similar story here Gloria. It's daylight now but still overcast. No rain or snow.... No mist but I suspect the cloud base is very low.....

Yesterday afternoon followed the pattern we saw the day before. The wind chill kept us in freezing conditions well into the night. The wind increased and it started raining and that's what we have now, a wet windy morning. The glass has fallen to 981mb and the forecast is for rain all day, the showers could be wintry at times. The constant east wind will be brisk and gusts to almost 45mph all day. We can expect a high of 3C and a low tonight of 2C with a wind chill of -6C all day. The perceived temperature will be below freezing all day getting to as low as -5C this evening. The outlook is for slightly warmer weather but still heavily overcast and showery.

It's rain here in Barlick..... Bitter cold though, certainly cold enough for snow....
I've had a look and yes, the Met Office have modified the forecast. They are forecasting snow through to 04:00 tomorrow.... Deep Joy!

Yesterday afternoon turned out to be wet, windy and cold and the night was no different despite the yellow warning talking about snow. It is still wqet, windy and cold and the glass is down on 982mb. The forecast (surprise surprise) is for a wet, windy overcast day. The constant ENE wind will be moderate and gusts to near 35mph. The high will be 4C and the low tonight 3C with a -5C wind chill all day. The next six days will also be overcast but warmer.

We're doing better than that Gloria, I've just been to the Co-op for my weekly veggie shop and whilst it is damp and cold, it isn't raining and the wind could be a lot worse. Certainly nowhere near as bad as the yellow warning they were throwing at us

Yesterday afternoon settled down into light cold rain and this was the case into the night. That's the case this morning as I write and the glass is up on 986mb and still tending to rise. The forecast is for a similar day to yesterday, overcast and wet..... The easterly winds will be light and we can expect a high of 8C and a low tonight of 5C with a wind chill of -3C for most of the day. Tomorrow could be a brighter day but then we revert to wet and overcast as the base weather for the rest of the week.

It’s hot again, air-cons are on for most of each day, and nights are too warm.
I can’t remember the last time that it rained. 😢
Roll on Autumn… Calm down Cathy, it’s much too early to start daydreaming.

Yesterday afternoon behaved itself, It was overcast and only occasional light rain. Overnight we had light rain at first but that's stopped now and the morning has started overcast, mild, a light breeze and dry. The glass is 992mb and rising. The forecast is for a mild overcast day with perhaps some light rain from late morning onwards. The southerly winds will start moderate but become light and we can expect a high of 9C and a low tonight of 5C with a wind chill of -2C all day. This is very kind weather for mid-winter! The outlook is for similar mild overcast and damp weather perhaps getting a bit colder by the end of the week.
