Re: GOOD TV
I made a start on the same programme last night and watched two episodes. I found it gentle, weird but fascinating. How could you miss Michael Palin? He plays the father of the main character. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
Re: GOOD TV
That's fine- but I just comment on what I thought. Not for me.
I just watched Who killed Lamb?
Enjoyed it - old fashioned from another time - when there was no traffic on Oxford, and everyone smoked. I thought Baker would have made a good Bond, and John Thaw was lucky to become Morse.
PS This is similar but earlier (1960) Hell is a CityHell is a City
Filmed in Manchester - note the pub in Cromford Court off Market Street, and there is some vivid social history in the "Two Up" school in the hills above Oldham. Note the final scene in Lewis's Arcade demonstrating the origin of the Manchester saying "standing there like one o'Lewis's".
SCG will have heard it. . . .

Re: GOOD TV
We watched The Lady on Sunday and Monday, caught up with last two last night. It certainly keeps the attention.

Re: GOOD TV
Don't know how this found me but it has some watchable episodes.
Very dated but you can hear every word, and the plots makes sense. Back to the sixties and seventies. Lots of familiar famous faces.
Hyacinth Bucket as Queen Victoria . . . . .
No provocative casting.
Classic British Telly
PS I've just watched THIS with George Baker, Peter Davison and Bobby Knutt.

Re: GOOD TV
I've never seen that site before David. It looks interesting. I shall go back and look at it later. Thanks for the heads-up.
