Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was another pleasant afternoon that slipped comfortably into am equally quiet night. This morning we have a calm mild morning under a clear sky. The glass is down on 1015mb and the forecast is for a dry sunny day after a misty start. The light to moderate wind will be easterly until noon and then swings through south to SW for the rest of the day. We can expect a high of 15C and a low of 4C tonight with a -2C chill for most of the day. Tomorrow is forecast to be dull and wet but for the rest of the week reverts to dry sunny weather with temperatures in double figures. This is very acceptable weather!

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon managed to stay dry until I went to bed at 17:00. We had an occasional light shower but the night was mainly dry. First thing it was mild and overcast with a light breeze and the glass was steady on 1015mb. The forecast is overcast and wet from 03:00 until noon and then an overcast but dry afternoon and evening. The mainly NNE wind will be light and we can expect a high of 8C and a low of 2C tonight with a wind chill of -2C for most of the day. It gets warmer from tomorrow on which will be overcast but after that the weather brightens up. This is good weather for the end of winter!
Later at 03:00. So far so good.... The weather is on track, it's started raining.

Just been for a walk and a couple of shelf-fillers at the Co-op. It's dry now and even though it's overcast it's very acceptable weather for the time of year.

"Jost Van Dyke"
I had to look it up Gloria.... a bit more summery than Barlick! Enjoy!
Yesterday the rain stopped at midday and we had a brighter, dry afternoon. It's been a quiet night and first thing it was calm, broken cloud for overcast and dry. The glass is steady on 1024mb. The forecast is for a dry day of broken cloud and sunny intervals. The mainly SW wind will be light and we can expect a high of 9C and a low of 5C tonight. There could be a -2C wind chill at times and a grass frost at dawn..... The rest of the week promises similar weather, very acceptable for the time of year.

I think the view from Wendy's might be a sea of white! The cloud is down and we have heavy mist which wasn't on the hymn sheet....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday the mist lifted mid-morning and the afternoon was brighter and at times sunny. We have had a quiet night and this morning is overcast, calm and dry. The glass is steady on 1023mb and the forecast is for a return of the low cloud to give us mist until mid-morning when it will become heavily overcast for the rest of the day. There is a chance of a shower around noon. The constant SE wind will be very light and we can expect a high of 10C and a low of 7C tonight with a -1C wind chill all day. The six day outlook is for similar weather and temperatures, no surprises.

Morning Cathy! Yes, it looks to be about right for you. It would be too hot for us of course! We've got a nice morning, calm dry and about 5C, just right.....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
We flew home yesterday morning via Atlanta, where it was chucking it down and 87 degrees, we arrived in Manchester 10.30am today and it felt freezing.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
5C felt very pleasant Gloria, the heating was off for a while.....
Yesterday we had low cloud all day and through the night as well. This morning it's calm, overcast, dry and misty. The glass is down slightly on 1018mb and the forecast is for mist until midday. It looks like a re-run of yesterday. The southerly winds will be light all day and we can expect a high of 12C and a low tonight of 5C. The wind chill might get to -2C this afternoon as the wind increases slightly. We can expect similar weather for the next week but perhaps a bit more wind and rain, certainly not as predictable.
Later at 03:30. Scattered very large drops of rain falling. Not on the hymn sheet!

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
It’s quite pleasant this morning, cloudy, no wind or rain, and a hint of warmth.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was overcast but bright and dry and was in fact quite acceptable. We have had a quiet night and first thing it is overcast, dry and breezy. The glass has fallen to 1013mb and the forecast is for an overcast day with the chance of a shower around midday and early evening. The SW wind will be moderate and gust to 30mph and we can expect a high of 10C and a low of 5C tonight with a wind chill that will reach -4C for parts of the day. Expect rain on Thursday and Friday but apart from that bright weather, breezy and with temperatures in single figures. Very acceptable weather.
