Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
We have the makings of a lovely sunny day. Wall to wall sunshine and no breeze at all.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday gradually clouded over but stayed dry. We had a quiet night and it stayed dry under broken overcast. This morning the ove3rcast has become heavier, the wind has strengthened and we have light rain blowing in on the wind. The glass had risen but is now falling slowly and is on 1015mb at the moment. The westerly winds will be moderate and gust to 30mph. We can expect a high of 10C and a low of 2C tonight with a wind chill of up to -4C for most of the day. Tomorrow will be brighter but expect a wet day on Sunday. After that the weather will be mixed but on the whole tending to be warmer.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday we had light rain for most of the day. As afternoon wore on it dried up. We had a clear night with a good moon. At present it's overcast but dry and we have quite a significant cool breeze. The glass is steady on 1500mb and the forecast is for a day of bright overcast with sunny intervals and occasional light showers. The moderate west wind tends to WNW after noon and gusts to almost 45mph. We can expect a high of 8C and a low tonight of 2C with a constant wind chill all day of -5C. This means that the perceived temperature will be freezing or below until afternoon. It will be warmer tomorrow but with significant rain and after that drier but mainly overcast weather with temperatures in double figures.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Bits of blue sky, and bits of cloud, hardly a breeze, but it’s very cold.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was brilliant sunshine but bitter wind chill. The forecast -5C wind chill was, if anything, an under estimate. As the afternoon wore on we lost the sun but ended up with broken overcast and a brilliant moon, dry until midnight and then a short spell of rain. It's dry again now with broken cloud for overcast and the glass is up on 1026mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for a wet windy day. The SW wind is moderate at the moment but is strengthening and is going to become brisk and gust to almost 50mph. We can expect a high of 10C and a low tonight of 4C with, once again, a constant -5C wind chill. The outlook is dry but overcast and temperatures in double figures.
