I am aiming for an hour in the shed early doors and after second sleep I shall be cooking Savoury cabbage as an extender for my veggies....
Carl will be delivering my meat tonight on his way home.

This morning I finished the milling of the elements of the steam chest. I didn't forget to add the witness marks for registering the parts. Now I deserve breakfast.

Morning

No cherry trees don’t last Stanley but we usually get a week of good blossom if its not too windy. We are lucky it reached that before we left, it will be over when we get back next weekend.

We are in a Premier Inn near Oxford, we shall breakfast and I will do my daily Duolingo french before we drive down to Portsmouth. I think we are planning on visiting Porchester Castle today. It should be a dry day. Have a good day all

The next task is to fettle my cylinder lids but I can't do them until I have an accurate measurement of my cylinder bore so boring the cylinder is the next job. I spent 30 minutes this morning setting the cylinder up in the VM and am ready to start boring but instead of crashing on I shall stop there and come back tomorrow with plenty of time to check my setup and be very careful about my boring. Right now breakfast is more important.

I have just had a black pudding and two eggs for second breakfast. Very nutritious and low in carbs, ideal for diabetics!

Do love a black pudding. Stornoway is probably my favourite and then Bury.

I'm glad there are so many fans of black puddings. Such an honest artisanal food and so good for you.

It took me a while to get set up correctly but I got there in the end and bored the cylinder. It is very close to perfection so I am pleased. It took me an hour so I have earned my breakfast.

)Morning

We had a good day on Friday visiting Porchester castle and a short walk along the coastai path. We then went and had a beer at the outlet centre and bought some jeans at the M&S there. The crossing in the evening was calm . We arrived at the house via the shops for a few essentials such as butter and milk. All was good but the ground was rack hard. The grass seed and a few of the potatoes had not sprouted and two more shrubs in the lawn had died. At least there won’t be much weeding to do. After lunch I prepared the veggie plot for planting tomatoes which I hope to buy on the market on Monday , Bob removed the dead shrubs.

We are out for lunch today and Laetitia and family are coming over about 4.A dry day at 18 degrees is forecast. Have a goog day all

Last night we went to Remember Th’Imp in Barnoldswick, what a good night that was. Plenty of memories, good meat and potato pie, bar open, couldn’t have been better. Well done to the organisers 👏👏🥂🥂, excellent job.

Been down to feed Jacks cats, collected the Saturday takings and the weekly sheet from the shop. I need to make some dough for a loaf, then at some point make a batch of energy bars. Count the weekly shop takings and card transactions, balance the weekly sheet and then prepare the cash for paying into the banking hub. I need to pick Sally up from Silsden at 11 to 11.30, she has been dog sitting. Carla and family have been up to Edinburgh for yesterdays rugby at Murrayfield, they went up in their camper van, stayed overnight and should be on their way back now. Short shop to do at Aldi and I probably will need some expensive petrol. Apart from that its a free day. May have to take Sally to the InPost lockers at Aldi as she has probably sold more stuff from her sewing room. She has been selling stuff on Vinted for about a month and is currently £600 up!

Dough is mixed an arguing with itself on the side, just finishing a quick brew then off to Silsden to pick Sally up.

At a BBQ in Harrogate, it's quite pleasant out.
Got a photoshoot on The Stray later, the blossom is out so I'm expecting it to be busy.
