Some big blokes in that snap!
Yesterday the afternoon deteriorated into overcast and showery but we have had a dry quiet night. At the moment it's overcast and we have a light breeze. The glass has risen to 1025mb and the forecast is for a clear dry sunny day. The moderate wind will be ENE until noon and then it settles in the east gusting to almost 40mph. We can expect a high of 13C and a low tonight of 2C with a wind chill of -3C all day. The outlook is for similar weather for the next week.

The day has started well again, sunning with some light cloud and just a hint of a breeze. Temperature is very acceptable also.

Well so much for the acceptable temperature. Been for a walk into Longridge and the wind is biting, but at least it’s fine, we can stand this.

I think that might be the problem today Gloria.....
Yesterday afternoon was sunny but the warmth was tempered by the wind chill. We had a clear calm night and at the moment it is still a clear night but we have a sneaky east wind keeping us honest! The glass has risen slightly to 1027mb. The forecast is for a clear day with full sun all day. The moderate easterly winds tend towards the north and gradually rise until they are gusting at almost 40mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of 14C and a low of 2C tonight with a wind chill of -4C for much of the day. The outlook is for similar bright dry weather and getting warmer all week.

The fact that the heating is on despite the full sun tells you something.

more breeze in London than expected not helped by a Tube Drivers strike making travel more disrupted. Heating on a bit as the wind brought lower temps than was comfortable. Sun rising earlier each day. St Georges Day tomorrow

Yesterday afternoon we had full sun but a chilly east wind. The night was overcast but dry and this morning we have overcast and a chilly wind cooling us down. The glass is steady on 1028mb and the forecast is for the sky to clear at dawn and we shall have full sun all day. The constant east wind is moderate and we can expect a high of 15C and a low of 0C tonight. The wind chill is -4C at the moment but will moderate to -2C for most of the day. The outlook is for sunny warmer weather....

Bright sunning today, surprising how fast it’s brought the leaves out on the trees.

The overcast burned off and now we have the full sun that was promised. However, we still have that sneaky east wind cooling us down..... We need it to go away!

I've just realised that I omitted my usual weather report..... A senior moment!
Yesterday afternoon was sunny right up until nightfall around 21:00. Hard to credit the fact that it's not so long ago it was going dark mid afternoon.
It's been a quiet dry night and this morning it was clear and cool enough for a grass frost around dawn. The glass was up a touch on 1028mb and the forecast is for a clear sunny day. The east winds will be light all day and we can expect a high of 18C with a low tonight of 0C. The wind chill at the moment is -3C but it will settle down to -2C for most of the day. The outlook is for similar dry warm weather all week.

It's very pleasant out, we had alfresco coffee this morning. This afternoon I've cleaned the windows on the house, vacuumed the car and treated a small rust bubble on the rear wheel arch.

Yesterday was a lovely day, but we still had remnants of that sneaky east wind..... Sun right up to nightfall and a quiet night. This morning it's clear, calm and cool. The glass has fallen a bit to 1021mb and the forecast is for another day of full sun. The westerly winds are very light and variable all day. We can expect a high of 19C and a low tonight of 5C and negligible wind chill. The outlook is for slightly cooler weather but still bright and sunny.

We have been having a run of unseasonably warm temperatures this past week.
Some days have been +7C above the average daily high, and today is +9C .
Our nights have warmed up too, back to sleeping with a window open.
Quite breezy as well, I swept the back pavers of leaves this morning and fed the birds, and as I entered back inside , the birds were already feeding.
I think they had been watching me, and waiting.
5 minutes later, new leaves were drifting down and swirling around again. Hey Ho. 😊
.
Still trying to get used to the new time difference between us.
