No Love.... Inside and centrally heated. Newton used to be jealous, his shed was outside in the garage.....
I have just had a walk and a Co-op shop for some of the things I will need for the big cook in later this week. It eases the load a little.

Bob is in the garage in a room at the back, only one short external wall. He also has a central heating radiator and fan heater as well as a fully fitted carpet! It was our old lounge carpet which was in very good condition. We gave it to my Dad for his lounge when his carpet wore out because of pacing up and down in his wheel chair. Anyway Dad gave it us back as I don‘t think he could be bothered with the work needed to change it. He slept in the lounge. Also his existing carpet was blue with claret curtains ( Burnley colours) and I don’t think traditional patterened sage green was quite the same 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Having a heated workshop makes such a difference, for the machines as well as the machinist. There is never any problem with rust which can be the big enemy in separate sheds outside....
I shall be in the shed for my morning therapy, working on my castings....I might do more veggie shopping later, I'll take a view when I have assessed how last week's cooking is holding up·... Spreading the shopping means less load at any one time....

This morning I used my Dremel multi to grind off enough metal to give the far two studs enough clearance to mount the nuts. Then I revisited the fit of the studs in the holes in the target face and massaged them until my valve face was truly perpendicular to the base. That took over half an hour so I am ready now for my breakfast.

Going to get some contact lenses for the left eye until that one is done. Just need to keep up the eye drops routine and all should be good to drive in 48 hours.

Got a monthly disposable contact lens and cleaning solution from Specsavers and all is good. I've had to get some reading glasses as my arms are only just long enough now to see small print. Ordered some from Amazon, 3 pairs for £8 seemed a bargain. Once the other eye has been sorted I'll get them both tested for prescription 'readers' as both eyes need different strengths.

Is the new eye Ektachrome?
Here at Graham Towers.... I will not be in the shed this morning, instead I shall be getting my chicken in the oven and cooking slowly with it's supporting cast......
Later, I shall exercise my democratic right and vote, then do veggie shopping on the way back. I shall order my meat at some point in the motning....

All good this morning, thank you :good:

As Stanley mentioned, colours are much brighter in the 'new' eye and everything appears much sharper. Can't wait for the other one to be done now.
Looking at a white ceiling really highlights the difference, the 'old' eye has a yellow tinge to it and the 'new' eye it looks white.

If things go the same for you as me Kev you will have fighter pilot vision for a while but mine gradually deteriorated. I was told this was normal, it's the structure of the eye at the back of the lens clouding. They let mine get to a certain point and then had me in for a five minute procedure where they blow holes in the offending membrane with a laser, the improvement is immediate and in my case permanent. It sounds crude but it works.....
This morning is going well, I have voted, shopped for the remaining veggies and milk and am home with the outer leaves off four cauliflowers chopped up and in the pressure cooker on the hob. All is well!

I had the same Stanley a while after the cataract op, like you say, the result was immediate, and the difference was quite amazing 🤩.

I was chatting with a guy at the clinic where I had the op, he was in for the laser procedure. I met him again on the way out, he was just getting on his bike to ride home all sorted.

Retinal deterioration or complications after cataract surgery, while rare, can occur because the procedure can cause changes to the eye’s internal vitreous gel, leading to issues like retinal detachment (0.2–3.6% risk) or cystoid macular edema (1-2% risk). These risks are higher in patients with high myopia (short-sightedness) or existing eye conditions, requiring immediate attention to symptoms like new flashes, floaters, or dark shadows.

They did give me an overview of potential side effects and complications at the pre op. :good:

I shall be in the shed early doors working on my castings.... Later, after second sleep I shall be cooking veggies.
Later.... I think I must be getting old.... :biggrin2: It suddenly occurred to me that breakfast and bed looked more attractive than working in the shed....
