On 1 May I ordered two pairs of 'comfortable orthopaedic shoes' for £33 knowing they came from China.... I reckoned they were cheaper than slippers at £45 a pair.... I was given a tracking number and have been watching progress from the factory in China ever since. Yesterday the tracking application informed me that they had been delivered. Only problem with that is that they haven't arrived with me so I have mailed the firm in London and asked for an explanation.

I had a morning along the same lines today. I braved our Wintry weather and went to a local shopping centre to buy 2 things.
The first was a book, it was in stock on the shops website, but after asking for it, I was told that it would have to be ordered. ☹️
The second was a CD, it was in stock on the shops website, but after asking for it, I was told that they would have to transfer one from another of their shops. ☹️. Not good enough!
I know I'm in my own little world, but it's OK... they know me here. :)

Not sure if this is the right place for this, copied it from another site, it’s very good. You might need to blow it up.

I love owls, beautiful creatures. I need to plan a trip to Settle Falconry to see this one.

For anyone who likes owls, my opposite neighbour has barn owls rearing young in his owl box in the barn. The box and cameras have been ready for years, but this is the first time it has been used. Five eggs have all hatched.
