Re: IPad
Just caught up with this discussion. Glad to see I'm not the only technophobe and applephobe on the planet. This laptop computer I use is getting old and tired (like me), and I've been wondering about replacing it with a tablet. Fancy a small Samsung Galaxy Tab, because they can double as a large mobile phone and a camera. I went off apple years ago when I discovered that you couldn't convert their files to run off windows; and they refused my credit card. Facebook/witter et al don't interest me. Too intrusive. Anybody got or tried a Samsung Galaxy tab?

Peculiar understanding of what a computer is....Marilyn wrote:None of the tablets, including the IPad, are computers.
They have no hard drive.
I have several computers that don't have a hard drive and I don't own a tablet.

No, I sold it decades ago (1989 I think). How did you know I had one ?Whyperion wrote:Pluggy , you still have an Amstrad 1512 dual floppy ?
Edit, its still on my website of course........ Google still finds it even if it isn't linked from the main site.

I think the chap at Motorola ( the first flip phone I think ) , did confess that he wanted to design a working product based on Star Trek communicators.
