I admit it's obscure but as I said, well worth flagging up. I'll give it another day before I reveal all...

I told you it was obscure! Bee is Hmong ancestry. See this LINK for a good Wiki article about them. They suffered after being virtually abandoned by the US in the mid 1970s after they supported America in the fight against the Pathet Lao and many migrated. That's how Bee and her family ended up in America.
My mate Roger wants to know what Maz won for being so quick off the mark on the gopher-busting! I told him, just the prestige of being a clever-clogs! Now I have to think again.....
Oh no I don't! Just remembered! Maz has sent me the next one....

I think I might know what it is but will keep quiet for the time being.... If I'm right we have had a similar object on the thread already but a different design.

Well Wendy was on the right track, though she does not win the BMW.

It sits flush in the Utility ( laundry) Room floor. Every Wet area, such as a Utility Room or Bathroom is required to have a drain in the floor in case of flooding. The problem in the laundry is that we plumb our washing machines to discharge into the same pipe. This leads to suds coming up through the drain hole in the floor. This valve with the ball allows the suds to pass without coming up into the room, whilst at the same time able to take flood water if needed.
No more suds on the laundry floor...
( we don't have washing machines in kitchens)

P.S. you do need to take these little gizmos out every six months and give them a clean ( soak in vinegar for a few mins) or they can clag...

Peg basket?

( not even a tiny piece of the BMW...sorry old girl.... :juggle: though you may inhale the remnants of the ionised airspace remaining in the locale of one that has been driven off...if you so desire)

Does it hold something 'animal, mineral or vegetable' ? I don't think it holds pegs, they'd fall out.
