To my daughters friend, Jill ,who died in the bath from a heart attack on the 4th of this month. Julia and Jill were swimming rivals at National level in the 90's. how can this happens o someone so young and fit.

Professor Mick Aston ex Time Team has died aged 66. RIP. Nolic

Just heard the news Comrade, very sad, he was a good man and the quiet anchor of Time Team apart from his academic achievements.

He also wrote frequent regular articles for the two main British archaeology magazines and ran numerous local projects to help ordinary folk find the expertise and funding to dig their own archaeology sites.

When I was in Berlin after the war we always sat with the old Wehrmacht men in the bars and talked to them, most of the Border Guards we worked with were veterans too. With very few exceptions they were good blokes and we got on well with them.

Am i jumping the gun or should I assume that there will be no more comments from any of you regarding the passing of David Frost?
I'm surprised, I would have thought some of you would have thought of him quite highly.

His funeral has taken place today. I had thought there would have been some adverse comments about him by now, but I haven't seen any - with the possible exception of the fact that he paid Nixon a lot of money for the famous interview.
