This one's a bit different, it's a picture that has bugged me for years. It's a kitchen and the bloke on the front right is my mate Daniel Meadows. Problem is neither of us can remember where it was. Does anyone recognise anything or anyone?

The girl looks "smitten" with Daniel as well. Is it a works canteen, somewhat more upmarket than the one at Bancroft?

I know the date from the file name Maz, but a good tip, I often included calendars in my pics for that reason. You're right Ian, she was showing interest! Ah well, it was worth a try.... I have a good memory for images but this one is definitely a mystery. Now we need another object.... (all right, I'm getting desperate!)

Me too, I have one very similar, not sure why it needs the stick, although I suppose it depends on the length of stalk you have to work with when roping.

New object.... don't know but it reminds me of the drive for an automotive fuel pump. The type with a diaphragm in them. Very often had a glass dome with a gauze filter on the delivery side.

It's a counter activated by an eccentric thingy on a rotary shaft.

Assuming it's topical, obviously for measuring output of festive treacle production.

I've puzzled over it but can't get anywhere near it. Looks as though a cam operates on the bottom of the rod actuating something by means of the mechanism. That's as far as I can get.

OK its had a good run. Its a measuring dial indicator. As I said its out of my scrap box so a description will have to do.
The plunger has an accurate ratchet which drives a series of gears to move a needle on the opposite side. you will have probably have seen them in use setting the work piece up in a lathe or more likely for direct measurements on a surface table.
I'll split the points 50-50 between Gloria and Stanley. David's eccentric thingy is a bit too vague.

Next one is from the "where is it series". The clue is that its not too far away from Wendyf's Wednesday venue. The absolute end time is Saturday lunch when I pull up the draw bridge on all this festive season nonsense.
