Spent most of today gardening.
A lot of it was sweeping around and wiping pot plants, that seem to attract all manner of dust and leaves and rubbish.
My back is complaining now, but the courtyard looks much better.
Febby was cleaning out the garage and kept nicking my dustpan and brush, which I found annoying. I had to keep nicking it back. ( I am sure he was secretly kicking my piles of muck about too. He is in a contrary mood today.)

Singing in my head the same song as I was yesterday, its infectious. Yesterday at work a customer rang about costumes for Les Mise'rables. It's a show we do and it always sets me off singing. whistling or la la la ing in my head, the freedom song of the student rebels "Do you hear the people sing".

[BBvideo 425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMYNfQlf1H8[/BBvideo]

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people.
Who will not be slaves again!

Running the gauntlet that is the M6. Good call to leave it until today for the run down to Stratford and back to pick up our Ruby. AA says the network is clear apart from a short section just above Cannock which is flagged as "slow traffic", we'll see. Will fill up in Colne on the way out as the fuel is nearly 3p a litre cheaper than in Barlick, already the best part of a mortgage to fill the tank so take it where you can get it.

Good luck with the traffic, Ian.

Hope to get a good walk in with the decent weather, but mainly I'll be setting up cinema for tonight's screening (Sunshine on Leith) and for this week's half term screenings.

The cinema is celebrating its fifth birthday this week. Since we started we've had around 25,000 visits to the pictures at the Rainhall Centre. During the school holidays, we have children's films on during the day when the main room isn't being used for something else. Next weekend, we're showing a couple of films with lots of Oscar nominations.

David...I read the online brochure of the Rainhall Centre and it certainly looks like a happening place. Lots of things took my interest. If only I lived a few miles closer!

Ah David now is a good time as the soil is so wet they lift out. Some of the roots of my perennials are so matted in the soil I can't get them out when it's dry. I want to manure the bare soil and replant this summer. The surplus Plants are going to Dads as his estate monies are getting low and we can't afford for the gardener to keep planting up with annuals as Dad wanted so we thought we would take our excess over there. They should get nicely established in the Spring and keep the garden nice till we have sold . IF EVER

Back OK with our Ruby for the week. Road as expected, about 5 miles of 50mph just North of Cannock. Looks like they are putting an extra lane in on each side.

Left the MOT station with a smile on my face. She sailed through, whist the mood lasted I treated her to four new tyres. The last set of tyres had done 18,000 miles thats plenty with the state of our roads. Now we have another year together.

I am continuing with my hubby's ancestors the Birtwistles, I decided to do just direct lines of our families (the other tree has over 8000 ancestors) The shorter versions will be easier for our family to understand.

A sewing day. I am giving my friend lessons on my old sewing machine which she bought from me. Perhaps I will do a little more transcribing of the family letters although I don't seem to have come across any more really interesting ones with historical information in them
