Burgers cooked slowly with beans. That plus the left over mashed potatoes for dinner and a haslett butty for tea.

I popped three two shear chops on a bed of onion and garlic, topped them with peas and left them to argue it out on the stove for four hours. I had the result on butties for dinner and tea. Plenty left for today!

Bacon and two poached eggs on a butty for dinner. The two shear and onions with rice for tea. Lovely meat, beats lamb by a country mile!

Another bacon butty with eggs for dinner but at teatime I wasn't hungry so just a bit of oatmeal, raisins and milk.

Fish and peppers and cannelini beans last night. One pot, in the oven. Lovely.

Pasta and meatballs tonight.

Thanks for that. As Mrs Ackroyd used to make us recite over 70 years ago, "Peas, beans and lentils are flesh-forming foods".

The last of the two shear chops and rice for dinner and a small pork pie and a small haslett butty for tea. Yes. you're right, I'm cutting back a bit because I'm being too kind to myself and don't want to put any weight on! I had to be very strong last night as I sat there in the front room fancying another pork pie. However, my strength was that of ten because I am pure! It constantly amazes me how little I need to eat to maintain good health.

I fed the cast and crew for last night's performance by Dansformation at the Rainhall Centre; chick pea chilli with jacket potatoes. The show was spectacular and made good use of our projector, with images projected onto the dancers. The food went down well also.

Is there no end to this man's talents and energy!
I had pressed beef butties for dinner and part boiled some potato wedges so I could fry them for tea and have them with a pie. I did a good bunch so I have some left over and will fry them twice to see what happens.

I have started making my own pizza bases, 45 minutes from start to "ready for the oven". I bought a stone for the oven, I am very impressed with the results.

That's interesting Kev. I often fancy making a real pizza. Had the last of the fried potato wedges with two eggs and two sausage for dinner and two very small sausage butties for tea. I didn't re-fry the wedges but heated them in the micro wave. They were just as good. I've put a loaf in the machine and my mind is working on fat bacon!

Hate to blow my own bags, Big Kev, but I am the Queen of Pizza.
My house always seemed to be full of hungry teenage lads and I found that learning to make amazing pizzas was the only option open to me ( as I couldn't afford to buy them). I experimented with bases and toppings until I perfected them. Now I can juggle the oven space and cook for quite a crowd. I would really love one of those outdoor wood burning pizza ovens.
Nowadays I often cook and freeze them and deliver them as presents to my son's freezer...
Strangely enough, my hubby hates Pizza ( but then he hates any food considered "fast food" or "takeaway").

The two shear yesterday after seven hours slow cooking. There was no water at all in the original, all this is juice from the meat and veg. I had a bacon and egg butty on white teacake for breakfast (I got four from the Cathedral so I could let the new loaf firm up nicely). For tea I had the other two teacakes with just parsnips on from the two shear pot roast, they tasted lovely and sweet.

Have made a Creamy Chicken Risotto from scratch ( no packets or jars).
I threw some Kaffir Lime Leaves in and about a third of a cup of Salted Peanuts...then a little drizzle of Cream in the final stir.
I am quite pleased with it...am awaiting hubby's verdict...

Peanuts added a wonderful crunch.
Don't add them too early, or they will soften.
