Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Enhanced burger and baked beans with pre-boiled wedges for dinner and tea. (I know Maz..... Today will be even worse!)

Enhanced burger and baked beans with pre-boiled potato wedges for dinner and tea. I felt Maz looking over my shoulder and tutting at me as she asked where the leafy greens were. Worse than living with Cromwell!

(
You have lived with Cromwell?)
I hope I am more of a gentle yet persistent voice in your ear rather than a fog horn, Stanley.
We could always try some mild electric shock therapy on days when your veg intake falls below acceptable levels on the Maz-meter.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Sausage and fried tomato butty for breakfast and then I treated myself to one of the Co-op's best quality pizzas and a Magnum lolly! I know.... but I fancied a change!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Have just finished making a large pot of Chicken and Veg Soup.
Enough there to keep the wolves away from the door for three days...
Nowt wrong with Pizza, Stanley. I make my own so I know the toppings are of excellent quality. I oven roast my base ingredients ( tomatoes, capsicum, onion and herbs) and keep little pots of it in the freezer for when the Pizza mood overcomes me.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
The ingredients in the Co-op one were on the whole OK Maz but I agree with you that home made would be batter. Just a sudden fancy that came over me.

I bought a pizza "stone" for cooking my home made bases on. I'm very impressed with the results.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Sausage and egg butty for dinner but just porridge for tea.... I'm eating too much! Time I took my weight seriously again! Not serious but I can see I am slipping and the higher glucose reading in my bloods tells me I need to take a close look at diet in both ingredients and quantity!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Lamb steaks, new potatoes & garden peas tonight. Just downloaded a moussaka recipe for tomorrow.
Say only a little but say it well.
Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Yes Big Kev...those Pizza Stones are great. I also have a few Pizza Trays with the holes in the bottom, which work well too. I am lucky with my oven as it has a Pizza cooking setting, though I only use it when I want a crispy crust as the heat mostly generates from the bottom.
Darn it...my big pot of Soup has a gone. Febby has chosen Fish for dinner, so I shall have to decide on what to have with it.
Possibly chips, Stanley! A rare treat in this house...

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Porridge for breakfast. I made an onion, cabbage and pea soup during the day and had a salad butty for tea with half a bowl of soup. (Lots of lettuce Maz!)

Lettuce does not qualify as a 'green leafy vegetable', Stanley!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
There is also the matter of the cabbage soup....
Yesterday I had a salad butty and half a bowl of soup for dinner and a salad butty for tea. I'm enjoying the revised eating pattern and am hungry at each of my two meals! This must be a good thing.....

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I'd steamed a cauliflower for adding to my salads and saved the outer leaves. I had a cabbage as well and so made a cabbage, cauliflower leaf, onion and pea thick soup, almost a sauerkraut. So hot chips and ham salad for dinner and two small ham butties for tea followed by half a bowl of the cabbage. (I cooked the cabbage etc in the pressure cooker to make sure I tenderised the cauliflower leaves, they can be a bit tough.)

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Can't fault it at all, Stanley.
( though I bet you are passing quite a bit of wind these past few days!)
We've had a busy day today, so it will be Eggs, Chips and Baked Beans tonight.
( Pot calling the Kettle black about the wind I suspect...Baked Beans and Eggs being a potent combo!)

Ham salad butty for dinner, stewed cabbage for tea. The cabbage is no doubt good for me but it's amazing how fast you can go off it!

Lamb shanks cooked in red wine and cranberry sauce, and all the usual veggies, served on a potato and pumpkin mash.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Salad butty for breakfast and a small bowl of the left over cabbage for tea and nothing else. Went to bed feeling very virtuous but it's hard sitting there with thoughts of apple and cheese swimming round in your head. Luckily I have the strength of ten because I am pure! (So there!) Not got a six pack yet but definitely a reduction.....
