Good luck with seeing the Tour, Ian.

Managed to catch the end of the first stage on +1. Heartbreaking finish for Cav.

Whilst sorting out photos for Bloom display, found several of Ian and Sally in '40s mode with the Wartime Allotment material from schools... into the judges packs they went!

Good luck with Tuesday David! I shall be watching Silverstone. Amazing quali yesterday as the rain caught the major teams on the wrong tyres and then Hamilton's big mistake in the last session. English weather eh?

Packing for Venice. I will watch the Tour de France on TV, as access up to Blackstone edge stops at Littleborough. We don't have time to walk up as Bob is doing boiler testing at the model engineering club this afternoon.

Hope you have recovered from your ear problem Sue.
I am trying to tidy up ready for visitors arriving next week and trying not to spend too much time in front of the tv. I can't resist F1 though, and have a pile of ironing to do while I am watching it.

I still have my head stuck in boxes. Kitchen sorted, though Dining Room has become a dumping ground. Febby sorted Lounge today ( 8.4 metres long!) and he has done a pretty good job of it....somewhere to sit for 5 mins and pretend we are all organised anyway, so it has become the place for coffee.
I did 5 loads of laundry, and he ironed it...so all in all we are doing pretty well.

 though I haven't unpacked my clothes into the wardrobe yet. Must do that tomorrow, because it have been living in my " grotties" since Friday! Not a good idea to stand downwind from me...
I intend to take a half hour to explore the garden tomorrow, and meet all my new plants. Have only gazed at things through windows so far.
Ribs are tender on and off, but a couple of doses of Advil have helped. Pain woke me up in the night several times, because I do tend to wriggle about.
Another 48 hours and I think we will be ship shape here.
I have enjoyed the process, but do find it exhausting. The hours fly by...

Take your time Maz!
Wendy, exciting F1 yesterday and you had plenty of time for the ironing with the one hour red flag.....
Nice visit from Susan and Mick yesterday. We finalised arrangements for Wednesday. Leaving here at 07:30 to make sure we are at Blackburn Station in good time! I want to be sat on platform 2 with a coffee at 9AM. I've polished my Lobb brogues....

Enjoy your outing, Stanley.
Do hope we get to see some pics!
It should be a grand experience...

She mumbles this from deep in cardboard box land. I'm absolutely chuffed that I made headway in three key areas today. My clothes are unpacked, the Dining Room finally got cleared and even got a hoovering/ table polished/ tablecloth found -and -the Linen Cupboard got organised.
I was slightly deflated to find the stack of boxes waiting in the garage as I wheeled the bin past for rubbish collection tomorrow, but I shall be up for the task. Ribs only hurt now when I sit still for a few minutes then try to move, so I shall keep on moving. ( also when I turn over in bed...have to grit my teeth)
Time for a nice glass of Red...I am officially DONE for today.

Stanley, enjoy, I KNOW you will. Just a tip---they get you on the train quite quickly through any door, so they don't have you dashing up and down the platform looking for your carriage... it is good fun walking through the train to your seat and seeing everyone in good humour. And, they do a good porridge before your full english. Looking forward to our turn in two weeks

As you may have guessed, I've mainly been on Bloom business; my job to put together the portfolio (which I finished at 11pm yesterday - and got up at 5am to revise after sleeping on it). Then, shepherding the judges around the town to finish on the dot of a scheduled 12 noon finish. Now I'll probably be flaking out for the rest of the day.

I think so Maz! Will do another check though before I go. A gang of four cleaners are coming in for the day to give me a deep clean... Almost as exciting as the trip! Logging off now to get scrubbed up....

I settled back into my clean house yesterday. One or two omissions stood out like sore thumbs so I did a bit of light cleaning. Today is Butcher's Day and shopping and I have to write some articles so I shall be busy..... Holidays are over....

Such a blessing you can now SEE where the cleaners missed!

I was wondering if they threw all your food out that was past the use-by date? :laugh5:

We have been sorting and scrubbing today. Big pile of things in one corner to go to Charity Shop. Everything washed and scrubbed and polished...hate putting anything in Charity Shop unless it is looking it's best. I officially have dish-pan hands now...
Then we hung some more of our pictures and art-work. Feels more like home every day.
Found the Fruit and Veg Shop today too, and it looks like a great place to shop. They even had Peas in the Pods! Haven't seen those for years.
