A bit of fun really. What two bits of equipment that have no apparent functional use with the job in hand in Stanley's 'Shed Matters' that appear in a Hitchcock like manner in each series of photo's. Stanley is only allowed to confirm that the answer given is correct.

Its exactly 2 inches tall and you use it in place of a slip gauge for rough measurements?

I know now but had to educate myself via the power of t'interweb. I always thought Zippo's were a design once perfect wonder just with different finishes and designs, wrong again, doh!

In one of your 'shed Matters' you mentioned that the hinge had broken and it was up for repairs. Did you ever put an new hinge pin in it or is it a round tuit job?

No, that's the one with the Koala on it, now has a tight hinge and p;in. You're having a problem with this one I can see. Clue, Ian is quite right they are a standard design just varying in finish, so how come this one is different. It's the most obvious answer and that's perhaps why you are all missing it....

This is dragging on.... Time to put you out of your misery. The answer is dead simple, it's a replica of the original Zippo lighter first made in 1932. They are regarded as quite valuable now as a collectible but I have always used mine normally.
