I watched and waited in Crosshills for three quarters of an hour but didn't spot my brother. He told me later that he went through earlier than expected. One of only 13 finishers over 65 years of age, he completed the gruelling 89 mile course in 7 hours 48 minutes...well done big bro!

I never leave anything on when I go out...I even disconnect anything that is charging ( phone/iPad).
I even wait for the washing machine to finish.

How do you ever get owt done Maz? :surprised:

The house has survived while we were out and the joint of pork smells tasty and is perfectly cooked at gas mark 2. Veg is just about ready and just about to put the Yorkshires in and thicken the gravy. Didn't fancy too much prep after a day on and around the hill.

As a general rule I do the same Maz. I once came back from a dog walk and found water all over the floor in the kitchen from a blocked overflow pipe on the washer.... (And then there was the day I set fire to the kitchen!)
I shall be looking for a finish on the valve project. Biggest job is going to be carrying the big compound in to the shed from the front room, it's a big lump!

There is the other side to it too. What if something happens and you don't get home for hours after you expect to? It could be anything from a traffic jam on the motorway to a medical emergency and you spend hours in Casualty with a loved one.
You could even get stuck in an elevator...
I don't even leave the heater on.

Apart from butchers and shopping I'm not too sure. I have a lot of info I want to get onto steeplejacks Corner but I have to extract it from Bancroft on Tall Chimney Construction first..... I might do that. I am still thinking about what to do in the shed next......

I woke at 4.00 I don't know why. The blackbird woke at 4.30, thus I did not return to sleep but spent the last couple of hours debating with myself as to how you can shut a blackbird up when you are trying to sleep. Giving in at 6.30 I got up and made a brew. Hello Saturday

VERY GOOD NEWS reached me yesterday. New owners of Dads house move in on the 22nd of May

MORE GOOD NEWS the new tenant of our recently renovated cottage in Anglesey moves in on May 20th

EVEN MORE GOOD NEWS my bank account may once again have a healthy glow
