Ok...well this is my last guess...is it a movement sensor that alerts you of someone approaching the front door?

First thing that struck me was a spirit level bubble. Bit it looks too complicated.....

Maz's mention of `front door' makes me think it's one of those magnifying viewers in the door that let's you see who is on the other side.
Or is it just the button on the front of your PC?

I'm a bit busy...still sticking rusty pins in my Pluggy doll...but could it be the base for your leccy kettle?

My mouse doesn't look like that underneath, but mine is quite small and wireless...

It's a highly evolved relative of those big horseshoe crabs that crawl up the beach to lay their eggs. This one has adapted defences against being attacked by the seagulls.
