Looking at the design, I get the impression there are trees...with fruit?...in the background and the people seem to be dressed up in costume and celebrating.
So I'm going to go "out there" and say it is a label for some sort of Cider festival. Don't know what it is stitched on to, but it's not a professional stitching job.

And I think we have seen this before....and the pants mentioned (ladder-watsanames) may be correct AND I even recall a pic of yourself in them???? At least I think I do.

Even I have never been guilty of lederhosen! But Wendy is right, she has a good memory.... See THIS, they are still in business. I didn't know about the flannel nightgowns but their original product was a very heavy knitted woollen material which was fulled after manufacture to make it even thicker. Very warm and I have a waistcoat made by them.

In the slate areas of Cornwall they build some dry stone walls in alternating zig zag patterns - a row leaning to the right then one leaning to the left and so on. They call the walls `curzy way' or `Jack and Jill'.

The brass square is the template for cutting the sample of cloth to be weighed, the top one is for cotton and there is a smaller one underneath for wool.
