Glad you've cracked it Sue. As you post more it gets automatic and is very easy. Far easier than it was on the first version of the site!
Enjoying the dry cold. Keeping warm and enjoying myself in the shed. The castings are done now and so I can stop worrying about being held up by waiting for them. All is well!

Panbiker, you have created a monster. We are heading off to Tasmania this weekend and Den's request was for me to make lots of the energy bars to take. Not just 1 batch but 2, because we'll need lots apparently. So today I was mainly baking. I thank you for the recipe.

When we did the coast to coast bike ride one of our crew insisted on having chocolate on as well! Very nice but maybe not in your climate Liz, enjoy Tasmainia and the variation if you go for it.

We will be off on our first trip of the year to France in a couple of weeks. It's going to be strange as things have changed a lot since October. Our friend Kay died in Octobet and her husband has moved back to live with family in Bolton. Our close friend Audrey moved back to England in December and this week we discovered that the chef at our family run restaurant where we dined each Sunday, died in November aged just 50. His wife has closed the restaurant as she does not wish to run it without him.

I wonder what else will be in store for us.

Isn't it funny Sue how changes like the ones you describe seem to come in concentrated bursts. The band stays in the nick for years and then all of a sudden it's all change.... Hope it doesn't spoil your idyll....

I've been down to the construction materials market today. Everything you could possibly want for house construction on a 10 acre site. It's a hive of industry: people feeding coils of wire into straightening and embossing machines for re-bar, steel stockholders guillotining mighty bars and sheets of steel, door makers, sanitary ware, ceramics, pipes, wood, even furniture. It reminded me of you when I saw all the different sections of bars. You'd love it. I wanted only a small amount of roofing panels and self drilling fixing screws. "No problem, select your material and we'll run it through the forming machine." Easy, quick and cut to length, and that's how I got 5 sections of aluminium rolled and formed into profiled roofing sheets, £25 for 9 square metres delivered to my door. I love watching things being manufactured.
I suppose this is China's equivalent of B & Q but without the pre-packing, fabrication done on site.

Just been to Erin's second birthday party. I can't believe it is two years since we nearly lost both her and Claire. Two is such fun if a little contrary at times, but as I said to Claire it means she is normal :laugh5:
