Art this morning, creative writing this afternoon and trying a new yoga class tonight. It's a free trial class, so I shall see how it goes before I decide to join it. You will be pleased it is instead of something else not as well as. :laugh5:

You certainly keep yourself active Sue and a good thing too! I am sure that my shed was a major factor in keeping me on track over the recent three months of stress. I shall be in there today, still fighting my winch drum!

Art today and lunch out, it being Friday. But first I must try to get a GP appointment as I seem to have an eye infection, had it for three days now. Also yesterday I got a hospital report re a visit to a consultants and it contains numerous errors about me and my condition. It's almost like my letter has been written with information about some one else. Very worrying. It even has a list of medication that I have never taken in my life. All very bizarre. I phoned the hospital who noted my comments and said that the Dr had been a locum and was no longer with them. He was good too.

It is very worrying Stanley. I told my GP who said report it to the hospital, which I have done by phone, but he was a locum so they can do nothing the secretary said. I have now written a formal letter. There were 10 errors in the report, which was only 3 paragraphs long. I have asked for a response and an apology

Sue, the formal letter is the key and if it contains the words "cc solicitor and MP" and posted Registered Post it causes panic!
Glad the new job is working out Kev.....

It sounds like a straightforward `wrong identity', someone has used the wrong file. It also raises the question `Did someone else get a letter based on your data?' But mixing up identities in a hospital or GP environment can be fatal. I guess we'll see more of it as pressure increases on the NHS. There was report in the paper the other day of a retired surgeon in hospital as a patient who died due to being injected with insulin instead of saline solution. It was put down to inadequate training of staff.

That's what I Thought Tiz, and exactly what I gave raised in my letter that it could affect any future medication I am given and any future diagnosis. One of the medications they missed off my list could have serious consequences if not known about

Happy birthday Sue. I hope you enjoy your get together on Wednesday.

It was my birthday on the 14th and my wedding anniversary on the 12th so that's all my celebrations over for the year. We live in an area where all the holiday makers descend during the school holiday period so we avoid going to any restaurants or wineries during that time. (In fact it's usually too hard to get a booking!) We will go out somewhere nice once the crowds have gone home and the kids are back to school.

Our town is packed too, Liz. With a Food and Wine Festival, Art Show and Tour Down Under coming next week, plus school holidays, it is bedlam here. I'm hoping to get to the Art Show, perhaps Thursday...but otherwise we stay away from the centre of town. 39C here today too, so no point venturing anywhere.

Have a lovely birthday meal, Sue. We celebrated our Wedding Anniversay last week...but it was ruined by garlic...after we were very careful with our choices, they still got it wrong. Hubby sent his entree back, but was still served garlic in his main meal.

With 39C today the only reason I will be going outside is to keep on filling up the birds water bowls.
I wont even be hanging my washing outside... I don't want to get my skin scorched!!

Happy birthday Sue and Liz! Sue, you talk about popping to the Lake District as though it was next door. Are you still in Littleborough? Or have you a helicopter parked on the lawn....
Cathy, that's too hot!
I shall be doing the daily tasks and enjoying myself in the shed. There's been some admin connected with Janet's death but I think I'm currently on top of it. I hate it......

Cleaning up a couple of muddy old ponies so they are ready for the farrier to do his job, and preparing for tonight's history society meeting. It's a Mike Clarke talk tonight about the canal, including new research.
