I can't add anything to that. I knew a Hilda at Bancroft but her surname was Ellsworth.

Apparently was both a Spinning Mill and a Weaving Shed
also Waterwheel ( supposed wier was for mill on opposite bank but I wonder if shared - with the wheel under the building ? ) and Steam Powered- see visual chimney in old photos but also map that seems to have chimney through centre of building ?

We already have this image in Forgotten Corners but worth repeating in this topic which deals with local mills.
It is of Barnsey Shed in the foreground and Moss Shed over the canal. Pic is dated 1964 and at that time both were weaving sheds.
Another item of interest is the fact that we have a good image of the original canal bridge, the only one I have ever seen.
