But you know as I do Gloria that there has to be an end to it.... Remember that we are coming into the time of the year when we can usually expect the Equinoctial gales.....
Yesterday was a bit more overcast but still a bright and pleasant afternoon. At 20:00 it was dry but definitely nightfall. We are past that time of the year when we can get late sun at this time. This morning first thing it was calm, overcast but dry. I is still the same. The glass has fallen to a shade under 1025mb and the forecast is for a dry day mostly overcast but occasional sunny spells. The constant ENE wind will be moderate and gusts to over 30mph giving us a high of 18C and a low of 12C tonight with a possible -3C wind chill at times. The outlook is for two more similar days and then we descend into cooler weather with more overcast and less sun. Our brief respite appears to be coming to an end.

It is pretty grim out, the Met Office shows the best of the sunny intervals will be on the west coast so I've booked a hotel in Lytham St Annes for a couple of nights, it'll probably rain now :biggrin2:

Yesterday never really got to full sun, just improved slightly in the afternoon. It reverted to overcast late in the afternoon and was dark earlier. This morning it's calm cool and overcast but dry. The heating has come on. The glass is down on 1021mb and the forecast is for a dry day which could improve to sunny intervals. The constant ENE wind will be moderate gusting to almost 35mph and giving us a high of 19C and a low of 12C tonight with a wind chill of -3C. We shall have one more day like this tomorrow and then we move into overcast and sometimes rainy weather which will be much cooler.

Enjoy whatever we get today as it's the last day of Summer. Autumn starts tomorrow in the real world of planet rotation around our local star, not three weeks ago.

The overcast brightened a bit and we had some sunny intervals in the afternoon but soon back to overcast again. It's dark at 20:00 now and as Ian says we are in Autumn by all measures! This morning it's breezy and cool but dry and we have broken cloud. The glass is down on 1016mb and the forecast is for a dry day with sunny intervals. The constant ENE wind will be moderate and gusts to over 30mph giving us a high of 17C, a low of 11C tonight and a wind chill of -2C. The outlook is for cooler wetter weather in fact there is a yellow warning for heavy rain tomorrow. All told we can expect it to be cooler and down to single figures at night.
Later at 05:30. The heating is on.....
Remember the Equinoctial Gales. You don't hear them mentioned much these days but they can be very severe!

Yesterday we saw little of the sun we were promised and by 16:00 it was raining..... It was still raining at 19:30 when I went to bed...... This morning guess what..... it's raining. The glass has fallen to 1007mb and the forecast is for rain all day plus a yellow warning that it might be heavy..... The constant NE wind will be light and we can expect a high of 14C and a low tonight of 8C with a -1C wind chill all day. The outlook is for a drier day tomorrow but apart from that similar cooler and broken weather.

Yesterday it stopped raining in mid afternoon but we were lucky, none of it was as heavy as forecast and certainly not as bad as further south. At 19:30 when I went to bed it was overcast but dry. This morning we have heavy overcast but so far it's dry. The glass is down on 999mb and the forecast is for light showers with perhaps sunny intervals later. The constant west wind will be light to moderate giving a high of 14C and a low of 6C tonight with up to -3C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is for similar but cooler weather, we are definitely entering Autumn.

I feel the cold a lot more than I used to Gloria.
Yesterday afternoon the overcast lifted and we had a brief spell of watery sunshine around 16:00, then a light shower. At 19:30 it had stopped raining but was going dark of course. This morning the flags are wet and it's overcast but not raining. The glass is down a touch on 998mb and the forecast is for overcast changing to rain this afternoon. The east wind will be light but gaining strength all day to moderate this afternoon. We can expect a high of 14C and a low tonight of 6C with a -3C chill this afternoon. The outlook is for brighter, drier weather but cooler.

I'm back from my walk to Town Square to top up my supplements at Shambles.... They are a third the price of anywhere else. Not long before dinner and a nap.
Much brighter than forecast out there, I had a sit with my ladies at Victoria's cafe.... they bought me a coffee!

Yesterday the forecast rain arrived late in the afternoon after a mainly overcast day. At 19:30 we had light rain. This morning first thing it was calm, overcast and dry. It's still the same but fells to be on the edge of rain. The glass is down on 982mb and the forecast is for significant rain all day with a yellow warning in place. The constant NE wind will become brisk and gust to over 40mph giving us a high of 12C, a low of 6C tonight and a wind chill of up to -4C later today. A day for staying indoors I think. I feel for anyone who has to work in it.... The outlook is for similar weather for the next week....

Yesterday the rain reached us eventually and lasted until teatime. It was dry at 19:30 and is still calm and dry this morning. The glass has risen to 990mb and the forecast is for a dry day with sunny spells. The constant NW wind will be moderate gusting to just short of 40mph giving us a high of 12C and a low of 1C tonight when the sky clears. We will have a -3C wind chill all day. The outlook is for similar weather except for Sunday which could be wet....

Yesterday afternoon brightened up and was sunny and dry but cold. At 19:30 it was getting dark but was still dry. This morning we have a clear sky, it's calm and cold. I suspect we will have a grass frost. The glass has jumped up to 1015mb and the forecast is for a dry day with a lot of sunny spells. The westerly winds will be light to moderate giving us a high of 12C and a low tonight of 4C with a -2C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is for three days of similar temperatures and more cloud but then reverting to brighter days but still cold.
